One player was going into that challenge a lot harder than the other. That's what makes it a foul.

That doesn't denote a foul though does it. What if a player was standing still with the ball and someone slid them firmly? The slider would be going into the tackle with infinatly more force then the one with the ball, doesn't make it a foul

They both went in, one came out worse then the other, that's football. We can't make it a non-contact sport.

I have to say I haven't seen a replay though because they seem to not be showing one

That is an absolute disgrace, he makes no attempt to win the ball

Xhaka diving on a booking - nothing
Player makes no attempt to win the ball and severely injures a player in the head - nothing
Stephens win a clear tackle which no one appeals for - immediate yellow

Where is the consistency?

Stephens was booked for winning the ball. Kolasinac is escaping a 2nd booking!? FFS

Literally 5 mins ago gives a yellow for a great tackle and now nothing for a clear elbow. ****

Very questionable refereeing there, especially given the booking he'd just handed the Brighton lad.

I've seen Ray Lewis hits where he's dropped his shoulder with less impact than that. He should have been off. He was completely out of control there.

Izquierdo is a purely selfish cad isn't he? Three pass options and chooses a shit shot.

Think he should have passed there, looks a bit of a greedy fucker. The wrong offside call given against him in the first half where he opted to shoot instead of pass was damn greedy too.

Wait for the replay, it was no 50/50 challenge
