Had we taken our chances we would of been clear sailing. We didn't. Yes experience won through, but we didn't. We will learn. I'm heartbroken, but that's football.

We have leaders. What we lack is winners, but that's hardly surprising considering we haven't won anything in ages and the importance of winning things is dismissed by fans and the management.

Shoulda bought two Llorentes then...

Looked to me like Poch tried to counter the tactical changes and push for a second goal. Right after Lichsteiner came on Son went right up with Harry and for about 3 minutes we played a flat 4-4-2. With two players staying up we lacked the extra man to cover and boom they scored a soft goal due to the lack of pressure.

I absolutely cannot understand all these cries of "shameful" and "disgraceful" coming out tonight.

It makes no sense to me at all and it's fucking pathetic. Some fans seem to have absolutely no sense of context or judgement of what they've seen.
wankers aren't they

Therefore I was referring to them as among the best.

Last year's CL runners up and currently 2nd in the Italian league, one point behind with a game in hand.

Sorry you couldn't work that out.

Gotcha

I really think we fucked up tonight. Very proud etc, we played some lovely stuff at times but I really think the ‘experience’ stuff is being well overplayed

It wasn’t their nous and experience that saw our strikers whack wide when clean through or Kane’s header hit the post.

It’s so disheartening that this narrative can now play out as it’s not what I watched. It’s vexing me. I am vexed

Lineker, Lampard, Ferdinand, Gerrard. At half time they had a good laugh at the 4 stamps on Son. 'Typical Italian defending' apparently. That's a red card - two probably! Also the elbow on Dier was disgusting. Not even a free kick... It got worse in the second half and the ref totally bottled giving any second yellows. All the pundits were banging on about 'experience'. No. Sorry. It's cheating. The ref was a chicken

FYP (and I'm being polite) !

Good performance from the boys, fine margins at this level though. Don’t take your chances added to a couple of slack moments and it’s over in a flash.

Juve old manned us a bit, but it’s getting overplayed a touch. Sometimes things like this happen in football.

As much as I don’t like City, I’d like to see them absolutely rip Juve a new one in the next round though!

Thought Sanchez was superb for the most part.

The officials in Europe are always awful. We have bad ones in the premier league but every single one, even Jon moss, is better than the refs in the Europa and champions leagues. They are terrible every game.

What's so frustrating is that juve were doing nothing up until they scored, the most they were doing were kicking our players about out of frustration.

While i do agree that its very frustrating, that is how they play. They never look like scoring before they score but then they do and hold onto to it most times. It sucks from our point of view of course but that's what we were up against and i hope we learn from it. Experience beat us tonight, we were better at the football.

This, a hundred times over. Absolutely terrible officiating throughout. Decisions based purely on reputation, the more high profile a player or team, the more decisions they get. Ref bottled it a bit tonight. We should have been a bit more savvy though and played him like they did.

Juve were like a snake who had been constantly prodded and tormented but bit as soon as you turned the other way :(

2 shots 2 goals, gutted to lose like that. Hope the team can pick themselves up, because we're still in with a shot of 2nd and an FA cup, season's NOT over! COYS!!!!!

I found the reaction from the pundits really strange as well I have to admit.
