Why not? They have an extra 22k general admissions seats, at £800 per year (including revenue from cup games and junior/senior concessions) that'd be £17.5m per year. Naming rights are going to be £20m. If their new facilities can convince 50k people to spend an extra £4 each worth of profit per game on food and drink that's £5m. If the corporate facilities bring in the same revenue increase as they did at Arsenal that £69m. That's a revenue boost of £111.5m per year. Let's assume I've been a bit too generous there and say it's £85m. The would mean the stadium had entirely, 100% paid for itself within a decade, after which it's pure profit. That's an insane return on investment on a large infrastructure project like this. And yet they insist on risking everything by whacking the prices up for those who can least afford it to achieve around an extra £10m per year in revenue, and perhaps pay off the stadium one year more quickly. That isn't necessary in the slightest and I'm confident in saying it'll prove a very serious mistake soon enough.

There is 0 chance that all season tickets wont be sold. Whether its right or not and whether it will price out some fans remains to be seen, but these stadium will be full for as long as the team stays successful. If the extra money brought in, increases the chance of success then I can understand why. That's life unfortunately. Don't get me wrong, I fully accept its shite for those that have had their tickets go up massively but sadly the game isn't based on sentiment anymore.

The roof design is slightly odd. Didn’t realise how much it inverts(probably wrong word) sort of almost goes vertical. From the outside the place will just look humongous. The roof looks like it will add about another 1/4 to the outside height.

What I do find odd is not adding the cup games back. They took them away at Wembley and knocked £70 of the tickets, but they’ve jumped them up again 50% (which I was expecting) but haven’t added the cups back. Which I think is naughty. Even the scum include the cups.

Does the 1882 club mean we now have the most expensive season ticket? Or is that technically hospitality?

No, it won’t.

As forecast, those of us in the East stand are getting substantial increases, mainly because our seats were reduced at OWHL on account of the pillars, the low-grade facilities and the poor access. Now we have the same facilities and view as everyone else, so we've lost that discount.

But we've also had the two cup matches excluded, which is rather sneaky. Last season, including the 19 home league matches and 2 cup matches, my seat worked out @ £47.14 per match (£990 / 21 matches) . I was in Block G, East Upper, level with the edge of the penalty box near the Park Lane end. Next season, an equivalent, similarly-located seat in Block 529 will work out @ £69.73 per match (£1,325.00 / 19). That's an increase of 48% in two seasons.

They had to go to the very bottom of the waiting list to sell them for this season - everybody with a Bronze membership in 16-17 was offered one, and knew if they didn't take it they wouldn't get one for the new stadium. I think they'll sell out this season, but have to go to Lilywhite members who might be tempted at the one-off opportunity. Within a couple of years I don't think they will sell out. There simply are not that many people used to going to Tottenham 25 times a season, who have that much money, and wouldn't rather just buy for the bigger matches. If you aren't offering an atmosphere and an experience at an affordable price they won't keep coming every week.

Wow, just saw a shooting star on the feed from the north stand (y)

Fell at about 45 degrees heading down to the south west corner. That was really weird.

My ST which was Row 12 South Upper looks like it has gone up around 35% if you factor in the loss of the first 2 cup games

They are taking the piss but not quite enough yet whereby the supporters will say fuck this. Give it 4/5 years....

I think they have pushed the prices just about as far as they could. I am in the South though. If I was in the East and had been for many years I would be absolutely disgusted

I thought they'd already just about hit the tipping point. They had to go through the whole waiting list to sell out for this season, and have often only just got around or above what our capacity will be next year. How they looked at that and decided on 30-50% price rises across the board I don't know.

I also have to say sticking some seats in the (ATMOSPHERIC 17,000 SINGLE TIER!!!!) South Stand which will cost 2200 quid is laughable

The new stadium will lack atmosphere enough due to health & safety compliances and its comfort and space let alone mixing prawn sandwiches with Balti Pies and Bovrill. It just doesnt work I'm afraid

With the incredible TV rights money in the game going to all the clubs I find these prices a little sad. A lot more could have been done for the 'normal' supporters IMO

Yeah this is me.

What really pisses me off is that my equivalent ticket doesn’t even exist anymore to the average fan. So I have to go to an inferior seat in terms of view..... and pay a 50% increase for the privilege.

Not only that, because I am only in phase 3 ( despite being a ST holder for 18 years ), by the time I get to choose I doubt there will be anything available even close to equivalent of my seat due to the fact they’ve basically murdered the shelf.

Emotional blackmail and with the 1st season at the new shiny ground. A bit like when cigarettes went up in price back in the day. Not enough to make you quit until they made them crazy prices!

It would be a real shame if they don't take advantage of the single tier to use for atmospheric reasons and instead have decided to use it as a selling point for the really expensive seats.

It has the potential to be absolutely epic, especially with safe standing

Sad

As you say your old seat isn't even available to you anymore because its a premium seat. What a joke!

Also how the fuck are you only phase 3 after 18 years. Unbelievable. Obviously down to very low loyalty points but still not right IMO

We have to remember there's about 45,000 people on the waiting list who did tell them to do one, knowing they may never be offered again. Sure, some never wanted STs, but many did. It's money a lot of us just don't have.

:confused:Why is almost every seat I pick on the interactive stadium map saying "Please Note seats blah blah are for people registered on the Tottenham disability access scheme"? Glitch, error or lots of fans with disabilities?? Confused...
