I have spoken to the ticket office this morning and worked out why people who have had more than 1 season ticket for ages have them in different phases. I have one is phase 3 (mine) and one in phase 4 (my wife's)

Up until the 2008/09 season you would have bought your season tickets all under the same reference number if purchased at the same time together. In 2008 they changed the system so that each seat had a different reference number. That is when the new season ticket membership reference number begins from.

For example. I have had 2 since 2006/07 both under reference number 12345678 allocated under my name.

In 2008/09 they split it so that reference number 12345678 was still attributed to my name (but the number was just changed to 0987654) and a new reference number from that season (08/09) was created for the other membership/seat. So the system at THFC thinks that reference number has only been in existence for 10 years.

Hope that makes sense.
That is the exact same situation with our 3 tickets. Haven’t got through to the club yet, have they now moved you to your correct phase?

Playing devil's advocate, or maybe just the devil for a moment, but don't we need to increase revenue from ticket sales to pay our players the wages they may get elsewhere?I appreciate United and City, and even Liverpool, may have far cheaper tickets but maybe that’s a demographic issue as well as the fact that City are City and Liverpool/United have far greater revenue streams from overseas. Just putting it out there, I’m quite disappointed too.

Fans get fleeced so we can make millionaires even richer. Football really is a old strange sport.

If this is the justification, explicit or implied, then Levy is going to be under huge pressure if we continue to operate in the second tier of the Premier League, while paying first tier ticket prices.

Reckon there is any chance of this going out to the waiting list next year with some people not taking up tickets due to price increases? I seem to be just about the only person on the waiting list last year who didn't get offered the chance for a season ticket last year, and think I will be some way off being able to get one.
there are 40k season ticket now, I read somewhere on the thfc site it'll go up to 42k... so if that's the case well...

Some of our group in the same situation, one in pot 2, one in pot 4, despite having the season tickets the same amount of time. They've spoken with the ticket office and they will get back to them in 48 hours.

They've had a large number of people phone in with the same issue, would suggest anyone in this situation phones up and makes hell, so they know the scale of the problem.

They haven't explained how the 5k new Barnet and Enfield season ticket holders will fit in to the phases as far as I can see. Anyone know?

Most expensive season ticket prices in the world

No the ticket people you speak to don’t have the ability. Anyone calling them about phasing will face a dead end.

The woman I spoke to was really helpful and got me to that point. She said to contact the care and complaints department but didn’t have a contact number or email address so told me to call the general enquiries line where there’s no way of getting hold of them.

Give it a try though and see how you do but calling the number on the email from yesterday is just a bit of a waste of time. They’ll just give you the same info they gave you I suspect.

It’s 48 hours if you email them if they deem it important enough.

I’d just email them. I have. @N17TJK id email them too if I were you then we can all check back here with updates.

I spoke to the ticket office and they said the club has taken a decision that they will not amend peoples sales phase even if they (the club) have made a mistake. I’m furious as I am in the same situation. I love spurs but not sure the club will be getting any of my money at this rate. I’m expecting a call in the next 48 hours, but don’t expect a positive outcome. If there are no east stand lower (or even west stand lower) tickets available by phase 4 (which I have to wait for because of the clubs fu(k up) I will not renew. I don’t mind the extra cost or how they intended to do the phasing, but when they won’t correct their mistake that’s unacceptable.

That's crazy. Not the way to win over fans at all.

Not really sure how the club can win in this situation though. It's never going to please everyone, and they have to draw lines somewhere.

Why did people have multiple STs in their name in the first place? Kinda makes some sense that once they get transferred it's kinda new, though I get where people are coming from.

If they let family members move up phases, people will argue their mates should too, etc.

I think everyone expected an increase in price but not to this extent.

Yeh, I'd been saving for something around 1500 maybe... But 2 grand? Even with 10 installments thats difficult for me to justify.

Might just get one between 3 of us and rely on spares for games. The amount of people I'm reading not being able to renew is mad. I'm really worried about the atmosphere tbh.

I'm fortunate enough to have been sat with a couple of good lads this year, we've said we'd like to try and sit together again. We're all first time ST holders so we'll likely be in the same phase hopefully. Might suggest we do something similar.
