Why would we need to prioritise either? We have a very deep squad full of quality and pretty much everyone (apart form Winks) is fit. We can play 100% in every game between now and the end of the season, finish 2nd and win the FA Cup. That should be the players goal. Man C will be very motivated to beat Man U next week whatever Guardiola says about prioritising the C, so we could be in touching distance of 2nd after the next round of games.

Top 4 is ours to lose, we have already won the 4th position. ONLY us can lose it.

Indeed ... Chelsea need us to drop 9 points in 7 games (due to our superior goal difference) and they also would need to win all of their games (inc. beating Liverpool) for us to finish 5th.

we can take them all seriously, I'm just saying that playing Man C, Brighton and then Man U in a semi final will take it's toll. we should be guaranteed a CL place after yesterday, but 3 draws and a loss could let Chelscum right back in it. we have to field our strongest XI until CL spot is secured

if you want a guaranteed fully fit, and strongest possible XI v Man U, then Poch would need to rotate for the Brighton match. guarantee Moaninho will field a weaker XI v Bournemouth than he does to face Man C then us.

That’s only if Chelsea win all their remaining league games. From their recent results, I’m pretty sure that they are going to drop more points before the end of the season.

Whoa, I didn't realise Liverpool had played one more game than us, meaning 3rd is in our own hands. I'd totally missed that.

Our remaining league games:

> Stoke (a): They still have something to play for, but are pretty dire at the moment. Just lost 3 on the bounce, and were thumped today.
> Newcastle (h): The only reason they're not in more of a relegation scrap is b/c they have a very savvy manager. They are fucking shite.
> City (h): Hopefully we'll be giving them the guard of honour at Wembley and they'll have switched off.
> Brighton (a): It's not impossible they'll be safe by the time we play them. They have Huddersfield and Palace next, so could take the points they need in those games. Otherwise, a potential banana skin for us.
> Watford (h): Nothing to play for, and are in a shaky run of form. Wembley won't suit them.
> WBA (a): They will likely be relegated by the time we play them.
> Leicester (h): Rapidly improving, and we absolutely do not want to need points going into this game. Gotta wrap it up before then.

With 8 points + 13 GD in hand, and that run-in of fixtures, we really shouldn't be botching Top 4 from here.
City, Brighton and Leicester are the games where I can see us dropping points, and I think City is the only one we're likely to lose. The other four should be wins 99 times out of 100.

So yeah, we've got this.

Looks like we'll finish with 6 games at Wembley .

4 in the league and 2 in the FA Cup

Are people really expecting Chelsea to win their remaining 7 league games, they haven't won 2 consecutive league games since December and Conte is a dead man walking, I reckon we'll finish 15+ points ahead of them
Their hardest fixtures are Burnley away and Liverpool home, but they've screwed up against poorer sides plenty of times already this season so odds are they will again.

I must say I'm slightly concerned at the fact that some people are saying we've already secured Top 4 with 7 games to go. Didn't we bottle a 5-point lead over Arsenal in 15-16 with 3 games to go? And that was also before a major tournament. We've still got City to play, and tough games against teams threatened with relegation. We've got a great chance but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Hopefully Poch is sending that message to the players.

Has anyone said we have top 4 secured?

4 points for top 6.
9 points for top 5 (and the North London Cup*).
14 points for top 4 (and the Whole of London Cup*).

Stoke (a) - W
Man City (h) - L
Brighton (a) - W
Watford (h) - W
West Brom (a) - W
Newcastle (h) - D
Leicester (h) - D

*I'm not inventing trophies like some sad Scouser/Gooner - just wanted a way to denote the point at which we are guaranteed to finish above Arsenal and all other London teams.

It's done, I said 3 weeks ago in here it's done but people chose not to believe it, can't anyone see that Chelsea's form is shit and haven't been anywhere near consistent enough this year so it's suddenly not going to change with them.

5 losses in the last 7? They're fucked and might even finish below Arsenal!

They are capable of doing it, but I am only worried about what we do, not what they do. We're in the driving seat here.

I just want us to keep winning football matches, winning breeds confidence and all that. Great result yesterday, onto the next game against a Stoke team fighting for their prem. league survival.
