We are a best-priced 6-1 on to finish top 4, compared with 3-1 for Chelsea. Somewhat reassuring going into this game!

Think we are and have been the second best team this season' Be surprised if we end up where we should be but CL should be our target. An achievable one in my mind. Really need CL going into our wonderful new stadium.

Whoa, I didn't realise Liverpool had played one more game than us, meaning 3rd is in our own hands. I'd totally missed that.

Our remaining league games:

> Stoke (a): They still have something to play for, but are pretty dire at the moment. Just lost 3 on the bounce, and were thumped today.
> Newcastle (h): The only reason they're not in more of a relegation scrap is b/c they have a very savvy manager. They are fucking shite.
> City (h): Hopefully we'll be giving them the guard of honour at Wembley and they'll have switched off.
> Brighton (a): It's not impossible they'll be safe by the time we play them. They have Huddersfield and Palace next, so could take the points they need in those games. Otherwise, a potential banana skin for us.
> Watford (h): Nothing to play for, and are in a shaky run of form. Wembley won't suit them.
> WBA (a): They will likely be relegated by the time we play them.
> Leicester (h): Rapidly improving, and we absolutely do not want to need points going into this game. Gotta wrap it up before then.

With 8 points + 13 GD in hand, and that run-in of fixtures, we really shouldn't be botching Top 4 from here.

Close call between us and Liverpool on that one but I think we're just edging it now and that's reflected in the points.

I think Liverpool have improved a lot though tbf and they should be taken seriously now.

Liverpool fans were saying we'd be in a difficult spot without Kane and I think they thought that was the end of our push for 3rd when we lost him to injury. Can imagine they are incredibly frustrated with how we soldiered on.

I'd like to see how they'd cope in similar circumstances without Salah. Can't imagine it'll be quite as well.

I'm usually as firm a believer in Spurs' ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory as the best of 'em, but even I can't see us not finishing inside the top 4 after today's result. Let's finish as high as we can, but I'd totally be prioritising the FA Cup semi-final if I were Poch right now. Today's win gives us the luxury of focussing one-and-a-half eyes on the FA Cup, with just a touch of care taken to make sure we don't implode in the final 7 league fixtures.

They are more reliant on Salah than we are Kane, despite popular narratives in the press. Without Salah they have to basically lump all pressure on Firminio (sp?).

Agree 100%.

We’ve not had a proper home ground all season. That’s cost us at least 5/6 points imo.

No, as great as it would be to win the FA Cup, fincnailly and and generally going into the NuLane with CL football is more important and 7 games is enough for things to change even if it looks unlikely.

Eriksen actually said as much in his post-match interview on NBC - "All in on FA Cup"

Beating Man United at home a second time will be difficult though. Jose will have them set up to defend and try to snatch a late win.

I think we should be going for fa cup and second, City play United next if city win and we win we will be 3rd 2points off second.

Not saying we will get second but top 3 and an fa cup is very doable and aim high ppl!
