To be honest I find it a little weird that Kane would go that far to claim the goal as his.

I think unless your driven to the extent of someone like HK it’s difficult to understand his position

I’m sure he has/will take it as far as he can and then move on

Shearer etc have said they would have been exactly the same

It doesn't really bother me - he knows he touched it so he's using the most important person in his life to show how sure he is.

It's not like it would matter if he was lying anyway. i.e. I swear on my mum's life that my dad was born a cauliflower and is now a dodecahedron made of sponge.

Bit extreme to swear in his daughter's life though...

Personally I would never swear on a loved ones lift even if I was certain of something as I'm superstitious like that.

Indeed. Disgraceful comment. Sell. Build for the future.

I hope kane gets it but tbh if you’re having to use a microscope to decide then really Eriksen should get benefit of doubt. Clear and obvious rule should apply.

Indeed he clearly didn't affect the flight of the ball, so Eriksen should get it if there is any doubt.

If Kane gets awarded the goal and beats Salah by one goal for the golden boot there is going to be a march organised in Liverpool for the injustice, t shirts made, Twitter campaigns, protests and petitions

Love the idea. I just hope if it's close, Harry doesn't make selfish choices that cost us points in pursuit of his individual goals.

This is absolutely pathetic. Losing respect for Harry here, tbh. Team is much more important then your goal tally and your main creator got the goal. Leave it the fuck alone. Jesus christ. Stop being so selfish.

I’m assuming your joking right?

Team does well enough because of his goal tally, and his overall team play is exceptional too.

Everyone having a go at Kane, but the Telegraph article doesn't actually involve any quote from him at all about the prospect of an appeal - they've just researched themselves that it's possible, written an article about it, and re-published Kane's quote from immediately after the match:

"Have they? I swear on my daughter’s life that I touched the ball, but there’s nothing I can do. If they turn it around, they turn it around. If they take my word, they take my word.
It is what it is, the most important thing is that we won the game.”

As an immediate reaction that doesn't exactly sound unreasonable and he does point out that winning the game is what's important.

Sadly people here seem to struggle to keep focus after reading a headline, more than 5/6 words is as much as most can handle before needing a nap.

Gave a winner as it appears factual. Though I don't understand the need for, or relativity of, the political usage for the Telegraph. I assume it is that paper.

Embarrassingly enough, it appears that's now autocorrecting for me :ROFLMAO: Edited it now! Thanks :)
