crap half where we were woeful for most of it, be interested to know what that tactics were as the team probably haven't looked this disjointed since Liverpool away last season. hopefully that goal can give the team some confidence to play, you'd think we'd never beaten these or won at Wembley before, played with no belief or arrogance, just panicked and played and pressed like individuals rather than the cohesion we are normally seeing. want more from alli and lamela, lamela works hard but shows no real end product or offers no real threat

Moss is too old and out of shape to be reffing at this level, and the one time he keeps up with play he gets the decision wrong right in front of him....wanker

They really dont seem to know what to do when not in possession. Need to keep the ball and move it quickly.

For 40 minutes we were reamed, sans lube. You can pick out how the goals were scored, and which individuals to highlight, but the main problem has been as a collective... Piss poor press, that leaving issues for the midfield in when to commit and to who, not compact enough and so leaving space between the lines, and a complete jumble as to who is responsible for picking up who.

That late goal, out of basically nothing, gives us hope and we already saw a bit more of a spring in our step, but in all truth unless as a whole team we sort out what is going when we don't have the ball we will not make a comeback. It's been too passive and not '100% all in'. If we're going to press, we need to squeeze up the pitch together and crucially the ones at the front have to do it, or we sit behind the ball and don't engage their centre backs half heartedly and leave the lines open for them to build up play. So far its been neither, and is what needs sorting at the break.

As for decisions, personally wouldn't argue with them. The penalty looked to me like the foul just about happened on the line. And we were really lucky Davies didn't walk for what was a proper naughty bit of play.

That was absolute terrible. Lloris needs dropping big time he can fuck of to the bench, such a liability - costing a goal pr game.

Trippier was a such a bad play from Poch against Sane. Davies Dembele Dier Lamela all bad. Kane Alli has done nothing really

Since our full backs are redundant/a liability in this game... why not do a City and go all out attack?

........................... Lloris ................................

.......... Dier...... Sanchez ..... Vertonghen .....

................ Wanyama .... Dembele ................

Moura..... Alli................. Eriksen ...... Son

............................. Kane .............................

If we get level and want to get a positive result then there’s no reason why we can’t revert to a 433, Dier Wanyama (played CB for Kenya) Sanchez Verts, Dembele Alli Eriksen, Moura Kane Son.

Lamela hasn't been good but he's always working hard for the team. At least he still does that when he's having an off day which is appreciated.

BTW - I was ignoring the thread early, but saw some complaints about the Pen given to City, as outside the box - if Moss does not award the Pen there, Lloris probably sees red. Rather concede the goal, than play the rest of the match with 10 men.

I viewed a draw as a decent result. So one more goal is what I would like.

What is it that Liverpool have that we and United don't? I feel like we're being schooled.

Not enough contact , it's a damn pen on lamela especially considering their one.

Hopefully that slob sits his fat self down and sees he's idiocy first hand gives us more calls in the second

Son for Dembele, Wanyama for Dier and drop Eriksen back.
Uh, waaaaa? Feels like Dembele is the only one having a slightly decent game. Dier is the one struggling. Not so much on the ball, but off. He’s been losing his man continuously. That speaks to lack of focus and he doesn’t have the athleticism to recover from mental snafus.

Can anyone track the last 20 penalties we’ve faced? I’d swear Lloris has dived the wrong way for 19 of them. It’s uncanny - he never even gets close.
