Six clean sheets in eleven games this year, that included games against Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man United and Man Citeh?

You want to fucking chill out matey, grow a pair and man up a wee bit.

Less of the language. Telling me to man up because I made a comment wow big boy

What a frustrating game! Liverpool showed everyone how to play and win against City and we didn't seem to learn from it!

Verts (and Moura) aside poor performances from our boys, although cant fault Eriksens running.

One thought does Dier offer anything at all to our team at the mo?
You clearly aren't watching closely enough. He offers versatility that no one else does FFS. You see one week he's bad at passing the next defensive responsibility. When you throw in his consistently anemic contributions to our attack then you have a player you can count on and must be in the starting XI...and under no circumstances must he be subbed if he is having stinker as it might hurt his confidence and detract from our net pointy and shouty statistics.

Come on mate, did you honestly predict anything other than this result, and does it really bother you that much?

The days when I used to get upset over football and it’s ruin my whole weekend are long, long gone.
Yes, I am upset, @Bobbins. I'm not smashing my furniture, but I thought we gave a very poor account of ourselves.

Also Kane shouldn't be starting matches if he's not a 100% fit. I love him to death but I hope he doesn't put his ego before the best of the team.
What ego?
You do know Harry doesn't pick the starting 11 don't you?

I think strangely enough lamella would work deeper with a holding player next to him, doesn't beat a man or ever give the defender the impression he could run behond him, makes him ineffective offensively. I still think he was ok tonight, alli and kane offered far less tonight and will be unimpressed if both start on Tuesday. save kane for Saturday, I don't give a shit about his golden boot, he needs to rest and get fit.

I have no complaints about City winning they were the better team.

We must though be much more clinical and tighter playing Man United in the FA cup if we really want to win the cup.

Can you really be Spurs if there’s not a part of you that thinks Chelsea will still catch us?
I’ve seen us fail more times than I care to even think about. What can go wrong for us, usually goes wrong.
Maybe it’s the trophy drought affecting my thinking.
Maybe it’s just me?
I’d absolutely snap your hands off for the FA Cup and 4th right now. Anyway COYS??

Have to give credit to city who are very good, but that can only extend so far.

Its been a long time since I've seen us use the ball so badly. There was a period in the match prob from about 30-70 mins where we controlled the tempo and the majority of the ball. But we failed to do anything with it; we were hesitant and indecisive in the final third which is a rarity for us.
The first 20 mins was embarrassing the amount of times we gave the ball away and often not due to pressure.
It's so disappointing, city are the best team this year I'll certainly grant them that, but I've watch us play them twice and don't feel we've given them a proper game in either.
Couple of other notes...
Kane woefully unfit, hope it was just because he needs the minutes for next weekend.
Sanchez, I'm not convinced at the moment. For me he's one of those defenders who relies on his pace to defend; he has a long way to go being only young. He needs to watch some Ledley king videos

I predicted a much better performance than we showed last time.

If anything surely Poch would have learned that if you're going to go for it against City you have to be 110% committed to the cause. Everyone has to press. Either that or we set up to play on the counter which is how I would have played it considering our fixtures this week.

It was much the same of this timidness that depressed me. Half arsed pressing, but not closing gaps and restricting the space either. The first 40/45 was abysmal.

Anyone else think we’re attacking verge selfishly at the moment? We don’t seem on the same page and it looks like everyone is just trying to grab themselves a goal.

Thought we were looking really good second half, but the jammy sterling goal killed the game flat. Didn't help that half the stadium got up and sloped off on 80 mins. Shite atmosphere tonight, start to finish. Very odd. Maybe the Saturday night thing?
