I don't like how he keeps whoring himself out to different clubs during the season. First it was his dream to play for Bayern, then for an English club, and yesterday he said his dream was to play for PSG.

Not too worried about that. Would rather spend the majority in the middle part of the pitch.

Today and other games like this show how important it is to have a player or two that can press, get pressed and move the ball.

I think we have the added pace and creativity in Lucas that will come on strong next year.

Don’t get me wrong, if Martial or someone of that ilk is available after we sort our midfield out I would be more than happy to welcome the competition.

Is midfield an area we are looking to strengthen?

Just got off the phone with my mate. He says a CM(maybe 2) and a LB. Anything else will be dependant on outgoings.

What last night showed is we need players that will improve the starting X1 not cover or depth. In the last few years we've shown we're good enough for the top 4 but to challenge for the title we need star quality. I've no idea who is available within our framework but most of the names mentioned on here are stocking fillers.

Budget is there so no problem.

But I can not think of many CMs who would improve us a lot. Modric, maybe Kovacic.. who else?
