Sissoko just cannot play anymore. He does not have a redeeming factor, he can't pass/dribble/shoot, and he's not even good at breaking up play and winning back possession. Just terrible. I realize that everyone else was bad as well but we cannot play with a CM who is just a waste of space. I truly hope to never see him on the field for Spurs ever again.

How on earth you pick out Sissoko as the target for your venting I'll never know. He had one of the highest pass completions on the team. Or are you just lashing out at an easy target?

We’ve seen a fair deal now of Aurier and I can’t highlight one area that he is better than KWP. Can someone help me?

Forget closing gap on man utd and Liverpool and worry more about Chelsea catching us

We look devoid of ideas and we have been here before. We all said sat was a wake up call but it clearly didn't work

Really disappointed today as that is one of our worst performances at such a critical time. Maybe the players are so ready for Saturday and think top four is fine. Let's hope so as our fixtures should see us over the line but no doubt I'm worried about Chelsea bow

If we finish 5th we will be ribbed as legends again and you can't doubt those comments when it happens so often to us can you?

If that happens it will be a good season

Yes and no. Good because we qualified for the Champion's League. Bad, because Man Utd and Liverpool have overtaken us and are now officially better than us. Chelsea have had a shocker this year (but if we don't pick up our performances they may yet pip us if they can find any kind of momentum themselves) but I doubt they will next season.

I'm absolutely gutted that we won't finish above Liverpool Other than the Suaraz season we've been ahead of them for a while now. For them to be better than us again is a sickening step backwards for me.

How how HOW was the Chelsea win not a spring board?!?! Why why WHY has Harry kane rushed himself back when we were winning games and playing well and why has Poch allowed him too?!

Just see out a season Tottenham. Gets to me so much because of just how good we are. Let's just hope we fall over the line

Still need 3 wins for 4th. If we're going to play like that, I doubt we'll pick up many points against Newcastle and Leicester.
I think it’s 2 wins and a draw we need . If we can’t get those from 3 home matches against mid table teams and an away game against the bottom team then we don’t deserve 4th.

And yet he'd be criticised far, far more if he'd played the first XI tonight, we'd won 2-0, and proceeded to look tired and lose the semi-final at the weekend. We're going to play 56 matches this year. Sometimes you have to rotate. It's the same for every club playing in the European competitions and sometimes it means you have an off day and put in a disappointing performance.

If we went out the cup sure, but it would be forgotten about in a week or two.

No champs league next season because the wheels come off because we lose momentum.. that will be a kicker all next year.

Eriksen is arguably our best player along with Kane.

But I do have a problem with him. These are the games I expect him to step up. If he wants Madrid/Barca they'd expect a player to do just that.

Like when he scored a free-kick against Juventus in CL or scored a wonder goal against Chelsea?

Every single Spurs player played under par tonight. I don't see the point in single out Eriksen, especially as he's been utterly world class for us this season and saved our asses more times than I can count.

Here's an idea - you're facing a team that's packing out the middle of the field.

How about we put a right footer high up on the right, and a left footer high up on the left. Stretch the game out and destroy their shape.

NO. Actually let's play everyone through the middle and try and score an impossible goal through 10 players.
The fullbacks are supposed to do that job.

I disagree, I'm positive if you had polled SC before this and asked who would be happy with a draw given our fight for 4th and our shit show against Man City id bet there would be just the happy clappers voting for a draw being good enough.
I expect Spurs to beat these teams thats the end of it as far as I'm concerned. It all boils down to what you expect i guess. I happen to think we are far better than a draw away to fucking Brighton and Hove Albion.
I expect us to beat teams like that most of the time. And we do most of the time. I don't expect us to win every away game against teams outside the top 6, because that isn't a realistic goal - even Man City running away with the title haven't managed that. Over a 56 game season we are going to have some better games and performances, and some poorer ones. I don't see the need to lay into the team to this extent because this happened to be one of the poorer ones.
