That was our strongest team out on Saturday based upon how Poch has played it in the FA Cup this year (unless you count Hugo and then that opens up another can of worms). The final hurdle is to win something, and based on the four years under the guidance of Poch that the Cups are important, even if his words are taken and twisted to fit a different naritive.I agree wholeheartedly he needs to be more media-savvy. Like I said earlier, a lot of it boils down to the frustration with the line-up not being our strongest and comments which were always going to be taken out of context.
Winning the FA Cup, the Carabao Cup even, won’t change our lives - but could lay the necessary foundations for this team to go on and win something that would. Not to mention it would put to bed that “Needs to win something” chestnut
As for the 'needs to win something' line - if we win a cup does it stop there? Probably not, we all know what it will become and it's pretty much what most top teams aspire too. It won't change the printed and spoken word about what is expected next.
Spurs do need to take that next step and win something and for the most part as a fan base we're probably all on the same page. I guess some will have more patience than others and those with less, it's fine too. After all it'll be silverware in a cabinet that has been lacking for some time. Hopefully it isn't too far away.
