I don't think it's the squad that's the issue. It's Poch's in-game methods. Late subs, or not recognizing when a player needs to be taken off. With Son and Lucas on earlier today, we might have scored.
Lucas was not up for it in his last start and hasn't shown enough....not saying he won't next season but right now.
Son I think is just a bit pooped but will likely play the final two games COYS!

That's all you've banged on about, the subs no where in what I quoted did it mention anything else.

They did us like they did Liverpool and Utd.

Your negativity has a place and is warrented in a frustrating result - the perma negative view is a crock of utter fucking shit including a stat trying to back up a claim about us being bottle jobs without any context what-so-ever.

You crack on with your shitty fucking axe to grind though, you won't be about if we manage to clinch top four though, that much I can bank on.

Well if you read through my other posts you would see I also mentioned his tactics which you fail to acknowledge or deem acceptable from him.

Just because they beat United & drew with Liverpool that makes today’s performance & defeat acceptable? Dear oh Dear, your expectations must be very low.

I don’t have a perma negative view FYI, I’m just being realistic based on our recent form, it’s the hope that kills you.

The stat I posted is facts, yet some like you still try to wipe it under the carpet and pretend there not a major underlining problem when you see figures like the one I posted.

I understand all your seeing from me is negativity and lost hope, but that’s because I know what this team is capable of which is why it hurts so much more

I don't like to criticise any of our players. But I'm not sure what lamela offers. He seems to fall over every time he tries to strike a ball. For a player in a top 4 club he doesn't score enough goals or create enough to be a starter.
At least lucas has a bit of pace to drive past a player, lamela always has to wrestle his way past people.

I honestly think Poch may walk away if we miss out on 4th.
He is a very sensitive bloke. After the SF defeat, he has become quite defensive and made the odd ambiguous comment about his future. He has consistently stuck to the fact that it is all about taking CL football to the new stadium next season. If we were to fail, especially from the position we were in, I really think he would take it VERY personally- Remember what he was like after we lost the last match at Newcastle the season before last. I wouldn't want him to go and I am sure DL wouldn't either but I do think it is more than likely.

I never said it made it acceptable nothing of the sort.

The stat you posted - does it equate to Pochs time here or Spurs time over the course of the entire prem. league? Hence why I asked about it's context - is it the team or the manager you are upset with?

Considering the progression of the club over the past 3 season I'm not sure where you're coming from or going to unless again you mean this team as a whole before Pochs time here ....

It's shocking how much we've deteriorated since losing to City. The collective breath of Chelsea's players will be breathing down our necks if they beat Liverpool. If so, then nothing less than a win and a draw will do and I'm not confident given our recent performances.

Someone should be shown the fucking door if we do.

I am fed up with the blind live that some of us have with him.

In a season where Arsenal have imploded and we had a nine (possibly 11?) point lead over Chelsea why should a loss at WBA, and surrendering a possible two point lead with two home game to go not lead to that?

Leicester's form is woeful neither they or Newcastle have anything to play for. If we miss out on fourth from where we were then someone has to face the consequences.

Redknapp did.

i'm not getting into slagging off players and I'm not going to blame Pochottino for the way West Brom played today, I think people are fixating on not scoring and how we should have done this or that to score, the fact is that we hadn't scored on 85 minutes when we lost Vertonghen to injury, we went for the win by bringing on Llorente when maybe we should have brought on a midfielder, Dier or Sissoko, shored up the midfield and taken the draw, we didn't need the win a draw would have done us.

Redknapp didn't for that reason though did he.

Very unlike me, ever since the semi final I don’t care anymore about this season.

It equates to the entire prem I’m assuming since it didn’t specify Poch, I’m frustrated with Poch & the players, at the end of the day the buck falls with Poch.

Our performances of late have been so poor and it’s so hard to watch, I just don’t understand the formation today, but still we had a chance to change it in the second half & we didn’t.

Lucas Lucas Lucas, how he doesn’t get more game time I don’t know, I just wish Poch was more decisive when games are tight or the gameplan isn’t working.

Poch is doing a fantastic don’t get me wrong, I just see room for improvement when we are struggling, he and the club have so much potential to achieve great things.

We just have to find that winning mentality when times are tough or the crunch moments arise.

Here's how i view the team.

Would Lamela, Sissoko, Son, Trippier, Llorente, Rose, Davies or Dembele get into a Chelsea, United, Liverpool or God forbid Arsenal side?

If anyone thinks that they would then we need to keep them, if not we will rinse and repeat unless they are shipped out. I fear that we will be looking to recruit similar in Mawson (i have been told) and the like, and an odd Korean who even their military won't pick up on conscription.

I understand the clubs transfer philosophy but we should be able to financially compete next season with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal.

Blind faith, playing youth and a cheap as chips transfer policy takes you as far when it really matters as we witnessed today.

So if it equates to the entire prem years it'd then be interesting to see how many times it has happened under Poch to see if it's gotten better or worse over those years/compared to other managers.

Our performances have been frustrating, the play at times has been poor and some of our key players haven't been good enough when we needed them.

As far as the formation today, I don't know what to think because in the previous matches people have been crying out for a changed, same with the those players on the pitch. Those changes happened today and they got beat, who knew?

This is the shittyest patch for us this year outside of Oct/Nov (can't remember which) typical now it's at the pointy end of the season, but if they can grind out a couple of results then CL will hopefully be secure. Liverpool could just as much do us a favour tomorrow as Chelsea might turn them over.

That is the beauty of football and just lately, not aiming this at you personally, it seems to have been lost on a lot of fans. Perhaps that is the uptick in us, the fans, wanting more as you say, but don't overlook the beauty of the sport as you want more.

Redknapp didn't for that reason though did he.

He went because Levy wanted a change in direction.

Show me the silverware, or even one final appearance where we have remotely looked like winning. We haven't really moved any closer to winning jack shit.

But we dumb fuckers are minting Levy and old Joe.

Poch will stay another season i think, and open Levy's Gin Palace, but if he's any sense he should like Walker move away on order to win something.

As I said I'm not getting into a discussion about our players, there'll be time for that soon and no doubt it'll be a rip roarer.

Perhaps we need someone - manager or more likely first team squad players to take us to the next level. I don’t want Poch to necessarily go but ... if he can’t take us to that next level he may feel he needs to go. I’m sure Daniel won’t get rid of him so the alternative is to invest in quality players which suit our style which I thought was intensive pressing and fast counter attacks. Precious little of either in the last few games cf Liverpool who do both very well .... unfortunately.
