Here is a cheery thought...in just under 26 hours we could have top 4 guaranteed. Just saying.

I don't know about you guys , but I'm so annoyed with this team. How have they managed to mess up a 10 point lead on chelsea and put themselves in this position ffs? Chelsea of all clubs aswell. It's almost like they do this on purpose to the supporters. No other way you can describe how season after season we manage to shoot ourselves in the foot and let our rivals in with a chance. We should of never been this position and should of had it wrapped up weeks ago.
Imagine how bad the Liverpool fans must be feeling then, they have done worse than us, they were home and hosed for third and odds on for second but are now sweating on ending up fifth.

Just point out to this acquaintance that it's pretty funny that the only thing he has to celebrate is the achievement of another team ( that they haven't even achieved yet)

And how can a Gooner laugh at us for bottling anything?, they bottled the Premier League yet again, and they bottled the Europa, after playing against 10 men for one entire leg.

No offence to you but you must hang about with some utter morons.
Gooner what can I say. Kids go to school, wife’s are best friends. Stuck with him?

Much like the email the club have sent out entitled "get behind the club tomorrow night" with a statement from the gaffer.

MoPo said:
“The fans have played a massive part in making the players feel at home at Wembley this season. All together we have created an atmosphere that has helped the team achieve some memorable results.

We have two important games remaining that will determine where we finish in the table - we are fortunate both are at home so it is vital we make home advantage count. You can never underestimate the impact of the supporters and how the energy from the stands translates to the team.

We need to all enter into these final matches together and show our character and strength as a unit so that we achieve our aim of delivering Champions League football for our new stadium next season.

That statement from the Club is bang on.

The more fans that get on the booze tomorrow night the better!!
Need that charged atmosphere to get the team over the line.

It’s Brighton, West Brom, Newcastle and Leicester they said. Easy they said. Top four no problem they said. Chelsea won’t win their games they said. They have Liverpool still to play they said. We’ll be fine they said.
Anyone could see we were sleep walking into this shit storm.
Even though it’s ‘only’ Newcastle and Leicester at home left is there seriously anybody left who has confidence in our team?
I think we’re going to get relegated.

We’ll either finish 3rd or 5th.

I’m hoping we get our shit together and win our last 2 games while it’s still in our hands, salvaging this season in the justification of progress. If we lose to Newcastle I can’t see anything other than 5th happening.
100% this. Chelsea will won both their games as will lpool Home to Brighton so we have to win both of ours, 4pts not good enough. 5th here we come

Our only chance is if Huddersfield somehow get another miraculous away draw as they need 1 more point to stay up if so then we are fine, if not 5th is our place unless we win both remaining games

How many goals do you think Chelsea are going to score against Huddersfield and Newcastle?

Eh? You are aware that we are 4th at the moment right? We need a win and a draw to achieve the maximum number of points that Chelsea can and in doing so would have a minimum goal difference advantage of 10.

Don't forget this is the magic Newcastle that when playing away from home will be far too good for us but when playing in front of their own fans will become a pub team.

A win and a draw likely enough. That would mean our goal difference improved by at least one goal. Chelsea would have to improve their goal difference then by ten in two games. Possible but v unlikely.

Goal diff is also important to Huddersfield. They certainly won’t want to get hammered. Personally I think they will try their best tomorrow but will see the Arsenal game as the target. So I don’t think they’d really chase the game if go 1-0 down. Best we can hope for tomorrow is a 0-0 imo.

Actually scrap that gd is irrelevant to Huddersfield as it’s already worse than Swansea. So really makes no difference to them if get beat 1-0 or 5-0 .

Probably been discussed already but a Huddersfield draw at Chelsea tonight guarantees their safety, doesnt it?

Surely they don't need any further incentive to put 11 men behind the ball and park the bus for 90 minutes of football of the highest shithousery.
