I really like shashoua a lot. He’s just the kind of player you could see playing for city. Technically very good but also with a bit of pace and trickery.

parrott just scored from a free kick for ireland.

edit: got an assist for the 2nd too. they now face holland in the quarters - which should be televised/streamed.

Can anyone actually explain how England qualified when we had worse goal diff to Swiss and lost head to head ?

because italy finished on six points as well so it becomes a three team head-to-head.

england 2-1 italy
italy 2-0 switzerland
switzerland 1-0 england

italy had a +1 goal diff, england 0 and switzerland -1.

Lol that just seems really dodgy. Imagine if we went out of a World Cup like that you’d never hear the end of it ?

On itv Leon Osman obviously didn’t have a clue why we got through it was never explained just didn’t look right

Sessegnon is a weird one for me. Honestly think he will end up at full back. For me he just doesn’t have the creativity/flair of an attacking player. But he does have the gift for scoring goals. Which makes it a bit of a conundrum.

Sess did nothing tonight.watched him a few times now and not totally convinced by what he offers.certainly wouldnt want us spending more than 20mil on him as would be a massive gamble.

No one said he isnt
Hes also had a awesome season. He just seems to have a knack of putting the ball in the net too but he doesnt seem to have a trick and i dont see him as a wide offensive player. At 17 the world could be at him feet but is no guarantee he would become a star.
