I trust Poch when it comes to coaching but not sure he has signed any great players for Spurs. Me memory might serve me wrong but hopefully he gets some guidance.

What is a mamas club? You mentioned this in the ITK post and I didn't understand the acronym. What did you make of Poch's post-match comments about the club needing to take risks?

Since Poch has been with us we have signed -

Alli, Dier, Son, Alderweireld and Sanchez which I would class as decent signing! Though not sure how much input he had on them.

ali z commenting on hercules info (i think): Hmmm we will see.
hey not all itk can be exciting
?...Watch it happen...?...Poch run!...
Conclusion=Joe Lewis & Daniel (mainly) are no mugs. They are very successful business people. And the risk they run not backing the gaffer would be beyond detrimental!!!

He is being backed. If not call the Samaritans and paramedics-For real:censored:

We’ve now been in the CL a few times, we should have spent on a decent striker in the first one, and we’ve needed a striker and midfielder in tha last two. All three of those times, our stock hasn’t been anywhere near as high as it will be for this season.. So I will forget those last ditherings, if we get the right people in early and spend as needed, per @Hercules info. It’s exciting to hear, and hopefully we get nail it properly this time. I’ve said before, to win something for the first year in the new stadium would be amazing, historical, each player becomes a legend. Big time, boys and girls.

Best bit of this is the possibility of 3 or 4 signings in early, which probably means pre-World Cup unless their country didn't qualify, like the Netherlands, or they are unlikely to be called up, like a young English player from the Championship (depending on the playoffs).

Don't need Modric and Bale. Modric is too old. We need a CM for 4 seasons. Bale is missing way too many games through injury at the moment.

For me 2 CMs, one that can kill and one that can create, De Ligt, and Rose staying or quality replacement.

And a decision on our Number 2 goalie. Personally, id like us to go get Butland as no 2, or give Gazza the gloves.

You wouldn't sign the best CM in world football?

You mad.

You know that somehow the signing of Bale and Modric, although a massive statement of intent by the club, would be used as a stick to beat us with by Sky and Talksport.

I don't understand why my post got deleted for the reason stated, ie asking ITK questions. I only asked what an acronym stood for. My other question related to Poch's press conference.

I don't really see any reason why we shouldn't take some big risks this summer, if £100m+ counts as that. We are now turning over comparable amounts to Liv/Ars/Chelsea going into the new stadium (just lagging a bit with commerical). That should give us scope to bump the wages to a more competitive level.

Say we do it and it doesn't go too well, we are sitting on 3 100m+ assets (Kane/Eriksen/Dele) that will hardly stick around for ever if we aren't competitive. I think we have one of the highest valued squads in Europe actually. We'll hardly do a Leeds.

Seems Poch is ready to take a punt, this is quite big really, sometimes I think managers don't push too hard through fear of increased scrutiny as a result (Merci Arsene :troll:). I think Levy will back him properly this time.

One question...does the £150 million include the renegotiated contracts for existing playing staff. If so, really only leaves us with £30 million to spend. ?

We need to back the manager and we need to buy one or two winners who will improve the first team. This has to be the time to do it, but I’ll believe it when I see it!!! Once bitten!

Luka Modric is 33 in September. We did this building with experienced players in the past and it was flawed. The right way is the way Poch is doing it now.

Personally, im taking Herc’s info to mean we will be hearing “he scores when he wants” again quite a bit next season in the new stadium:cautious:

You just feel it's decision time now. Treading water won't suffice any longer. Do we want to be a hare or a hound?
All credit to Poch for calling Levy out...
