So what I've gathered from ITK and Poch is that Levy has told him he will back Poch. And Poch has used today to make sure he can't back out of the promise.

?...Watch it happen...?...Poch run!...
Conclusion=Joe Lewis & Daniel (mainly) are no mugs. They are very successful business people. And the risk they run not backing the gaffer would be beyond detrimental!!!

He is being backed. If not call the Samaritans and paramedics-For real:censored:

What worries me, is that if he is being backed, why does he feel the need to use his interviews today to put pressure on levy via the media? I mean if he thought levy was backing him he wouldn’t be doing that.

The good thing is we won’t have to wait long to see if Levy is stepping up to back Poch. Poch has made it clear he wants players in before the WC so if we don’t see some major signings in the next few weeks we know Levy hasn’t changed and we probably need to find a new manager.

I do agree that the time is now and if the club sit back and allow another summer of mediocrity and not really making strides, we will see the end of Eriksen, Alli and potentially Harry, never mind Poch, Jan and Hugo.

We as a club still need to be careful and can’t go and take 45m risks and then replace them 12 months later if they don’t come off but we need to move to the level above with our purchases. We can’t keep buying rotation players or backups like Llorente, we need to buy starters who can blend with the best that we have, not sit behind them for months on end.

There is only one must for me without worrying about outgoings and that’s a centre midfielder who can pass the ball at a high tempo both short and long. Half of the time our attacks are so laborious.

I don't think Poch has much enjoyed the constant media/press pressure about how the team needs to win a trophy

If we go out and spend 200m in the summer the outside pressure with be a whole lot worse

Hope that is true

But Poch has always been a good company man, he doesn’t deviate from the party line even when we knew he disagrees with it...this feels like a change of behaviour from him. It worries me
I don't think there's any need to be worried judging by Herc's info. It seems that Poch is a "happy man" because he's been told he's going to be backed. However, as wonderful as out little bald leader is, he has got form on going back on his word. Poch coming out with his statement today is basically saying that he's completed his side of the bargain, i.e. I've delivered regular Champions League football without spending ludicrous amounts of money, but now it's time to pay better wages, invest in the team and win the cups. If you don't, then I'm off.

I think Poch is fed up with criticism and pressure without taking into context his finanical contraints compared to the competition.

So now he wants levy to step up so he can give it his best shot, and is willing to face the increased scrutiny for it internally and externally. Bravo, I say.

Listen friends and foe! My last comment on this ok!

The board HAVE TO BACK POCH! Or him and players walk. Don’t talk to me about contracts, and honouring them, being so naive.

With what’s going on behind the scenes, the club have verbally AGREED to back him!!!

Now then. If you want to listen to these agenda driven media and pundit negativity, you are welcomed, and I give up!

I/we do my/our best to give you as much protected info (hints) as possible, and manic depression steps in, with panic attacks. Pochettino wants to raise the bar, and everyone he wants to raise the levels of expectations. And it starts with the board. Wages will INCREASE, with new contracts now the season is done.

The players WANT ASSURANCES. Work the rest out yourselves.. if you want to still want to believe, but struggling, I understand. WELL start BELIEVING NOW! Please just IGNORE ALL THE NEGATIVE SCEPTICAL CRAP! Become that if Pochettino walks. Then you know why. And that is not happening.

Stakes are very high now though. Doubt he'd be calling this manager's bluff knowing what would happen.

Let's hope not, anyway.

Well, the post job words from Redknapp and AVB suggest the opposite - and last summer Poch banged on about early signings and Levy still left it late.

Personally I respect Poch for setting out his terms, but based on the past I must say I am not as confident as you.

Luka Modric is 33 in September. We did this building with experienced players in the past and it was flawed. The right way is the way Poch is doing it now.
One or two throughout the squad can only be a positive. Think of Naybet's effect on the young King, or how good Gallas was for us.
