Really hope this is true. Just don’t want DL to appear as if he has been effectively bullied into it though. Poch would then be untouchable in the future.

It all seems a little manufactured to me, Poch puts his comments about needing to take risks out there, Chelsea links appear - hopefully leaves old Daniel with nowhere to go!

Even if there was a shred of evidence to this media spun b*llocks lets run with this ridiculous theory for 1 minute before banishing it to the dustbin of history. Poch knows as well as we do that the Chelsea owner is as fickle as the owner(s) of Real Madrid or Barcelona.
Why would he go to the Chavs for a season only to ruin his reputation and get sacked by the end of next season if not before that if they didn't win the league and finished below Man City and / or Man Utd and possibly us and /or Liverpool, even if he were to be given more funds to purchase players they would still not be given the budget Shitty City have.
If you are going to go to a big club with prestige and reputation but know that you will almost certainly be sacked within a season if you failed to win the league or the Champions League in your first season then the clubs with prestige and reputation are Barcelona and Real Madrid, Poch has already ruled out a move to Barcelona because of managing Espanyol. The Chavs cannot even win the Champions League next year and are not a club with a similar prestige or reputation or a proper history, they a a trashy grubby club with an owner who has amassed his fortune by questionable means who appear to have a sizeable number of followers / fans who openly cite and spout racist views and filth, and their owner is fickle and they are known to treat their managers appallingly despite what they may have won in the previous season. At the first sign of trouble their players down tools and turn on the manager and refuse to play and undermine the manager.
Are the media seriously expecting anyone to believe that Poch will risk all that for 9 months of extra wages and a bigger budget to go to the Chavs, knowing he has many others suitors coveting him ? Come on ! Let's see this sh*t for what it is.

These are just perfect for presenters though - they require no pre-show research and guarantee lots of listeners, texts, tweets and phone calls. Basically a tabloid headline story for the radio.
