Agree, it's a nothing article that basically says Bale will only go to a Club that will match his current wages. Will take more than that for this to die down.

Gareth Bale: Real Madrid forward will not join former club Tottenham
Get a roomNo mate, not at all. As soon as I finished reading your original post, I loved the thinking behind it & then Louis Balfour (the character in the gif I used) instantly popped into my head
Is any of the press?Would you happen to know how reliable / trustworthy The Times is?
I only ask because if you go to Google & type in "Tottenham have buy back clause for Gareth Bale", there are many articles stating that that's the case, but each and every one of them states.. "And a report in The Times says it is understood Spurs do have a buy-back clause for Bale, which was inserted in the deal which took him to Real for a world-record fee in 2013."
Yea it says absolutely nothing about him not going back to us. Just BBC have nothing else to report.Weird article for the BBC. Must be a slow news day.

Which means it will be no one.Which won't be Spurs.
That BBC article is pointless but it seems like the club have ‘leaked’ to Alistair and BBC that it’s not happening
But then they say “sources close to...” or similar and they didn’t do that here. That BBC article is pointless but it seems like the club have ‘leaked’ to Alistair and BBC that it’s not happening
To be fair, we've had ITK in here for a while saying the same, people still won't believe it.
Exactly, I seen the headline I thought his agent or Bale himself had come out and confirmed he wouldn't sign for us but it's basically an opinion piece"It means his likely transfer fee and wages would make a Tottenham bid unrealistic."
Nothing new there just opinion to be honest.
