All I'm saying is, either it has happened and we are waiting for an announcement (and who bothers with making a cryptic about when an announcement will happen) OR it hasn't actually happened yet, in which case who can say "it will happen in 7 days, 3 hours and one second of dwarf sex".

goes back to hide in a corner and only posting when either the next (IF) cryptic pops up, or the next piece of ITK comes up. least it allows me to read the info properly to then respond. hopefully the OVER £100m means we will spend nearer the original ITK of £150m
ITK said £100k investment. That means net spend to me. So Poch gets £100k plus sales (subject to wages etc biting into the budget). If Toby is off and a few others we may have £200m to dabble with.

I can't imagine Kane, Alli and Eriksen will go the world Cup not having their contracts announced. Seemed pretty unanimous that they were done so why not announce the buggers?

Because the Spurs PR team get off on annoying the people on this forum. Why else would they waste time announcing the letter O being put on the new stadium?
Also yada yada about wanting maximum exposure and finalizing paperwork and promo videos and all those other boring things they do that take time.

They probably just want to maximize the positive press from the announcement. I wouldn't be surprised if it comes out at the same time as a stadium announcement, or news about the new kit, or sponsor

hertyid: I don't know the exact terms of the MP/DL agreement around £100m+, so can't speak for whether that is net or gross, and whether it includes contract renegotiations or just transfer spending. But given we should expect £100m in player sales from Toby, Rose, Janssen, Sissoko, Llorente, Dembele etc (assuming they all go, this is not ITk), then you have to think it is £100m net. I also know we are very much in for De Ligt as a Toby replacement and he's not going to be cheap.
So let's assume it's £100m of additional investment, but this may include large pay increases for key players.
