I didn`t actually know..
Here’s the thing, these guys have verified sources and they provide info on a good faith basis. If every sarcastic asshole (Read: all of us SC posters) challenged them every time they provided this info, they would stop doing us the service rather then spending their time defending the info and their sources. So that’s why we have the rule from my understanding and it’s our mutual benefit to adhere to it. So when someone like myself in this instance sends you a little nudge, it’s really to save you from yourself because the moderators can be pretty strict with this.

Answer to your question in bold: Yes. (Not pertaining to Hercules specifically).
As to whether or not you "trust" them, it's of no consequence. What you have to do with ITK snippets, is to read them, take them at face value, understand that they are a photograph of this exact moment in time and not necessarily a reflection on the future, and ultimately draw your own conclusions about what you think is going on/will happen. Nobody is demanding of you to assume by default that any piece of ITK will always most likely happen. But you are being asked to accept that ITK is shared in good faith, by users who mean well when sharing what they do know with other fans. So distinguish between their intentions (remember they are not paid for or benefitting from it), and whether or not each piece of info is going to ultimately happen. The nature of ITK is not to deprive your from your right to draw your own conclusion, but that can easily be done without poorly hidden criticism.

Well written mate - very good.

FFS Poch himself said a couple of days ago he's not going anywhere. Thats the best ITK there is. This is getting absurd.

Like any other player or manager, they'll say the same to keep things cool and not upset anyone in a time where they're being linked with a move.

I know a few of you will poop yourselves reading the headline but ai am sharing this because it is one of the funniest articles I have ever read.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/real-madrid-not-given-up-12646671.amp

Real Madrid have NOT given up hopes of naming Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino as Zinedine Zidane's replacement
....
So they have stepped back from Pochettino, publicly at least, in a move they hope will avoid angering Levy, further dirty tricks accusations and having to eat humble pie should they ultimately accept defeat.

They will instead continue to keep tabs on Pochettino from a distance and are considering their other options to replace Zinedine Zidane who quit last week.
...

I shared the best bit. Madrid are continuing to pusure Poch by not pursuing him and instead pursuing other options. Someone got paid to write and edit that. Money for that wisdom. It doesn't even claim to have a 'source close' to anyone involved. I know a few of you are still shitting yourselves over him leaving but you have to be able to read this ans have a laugh at the state of the reporting this is at now. Genuinely never seen a straw clutched at more than this.

I like the logic of avoiding embarrassment at being turned down by giving the appearance of accepting that he's turned them down.

One thing I `m pretty shure of is that almost every manager with ambition would be extremely tempted by a job offer from Real Madrid. Their mind can then be turned and they might feel they can`t resist it, even though they are working with a great club with a great project and future (like Spurs). Lets hope Poch doesn`t fit that cathegory!

Not sure why so many dislikes on your post. Of course any manager should want to manage real Madrid unless they have an affiliation to AM or FCB. And you rightfully said hopefully Poch doesn't. Hopefully Poch sees it as a poisoned chalice.

I disagree with this. I do not think for one second that Pochettino has earned any trust as far as transfer targets go. In fact, I think he has done the opposite, I don't trust his transfer judgement at all.
I won't proceed with my opinion. Can't be bothered lol. :wacky:

I tend to agree... I think we've had one knockout transfer window and that was when we brought in Toby, Son, Trippier and Dele came in from loan at MK Dons. Even that summer we bought Wimmer (good profit, bad player) and N'jie.

The next summer was Nkoudou, Sissoko, Janssen, Wanyama. One out of four!

Last summer Sanchez, Gazza, Foyth, Aurier, Llorente, and Lucas in the winter. Jury still out on a few but we know at least one is a goner already in Llorente.

Exactly. Here are all 22 senior signings under Pochettino. I've put in bold who I think are definite successes, and in italic the players who might come good in the future. I leave it up to each to draw further conclusions about Pochettino's transfer savvyness.

Vorm, Gazzaniga, Davies,
Yedlin, Fazio, Wimmer,
Sánchez, Foyth, Aurier,
Trippier, Alderweireld, Dier,
Stambouli, Dele, N'Jie,
Son, Moura, Wanyama,
N'Koudou, Sissoko, Llorente, Janssen.

I've deliberately left out speculations about who are and are not "pochettino-signings", because ultimately they have happened on his watch and I see no reason to attribute successes to him and failings to other Spurs executives on a guessing basis.
