Lingard motm for me. Hope he can do it against better opposition.

I just don’t understand anyone singling Lingard out as MOTM. Aside from a great goal, i barely noticed he was on the pitch. Trippier effectively set up the first two goals, Henderson, once again, has pretty much played in midfield on his own, even Stones has been more influential than Lingard.

Hope the thinking is to give Rose match practice before Belgium and not just to rest Young...

I'd imagine that's what it is. A lot of people seem to have forgotten that Rose has only played about 5 competitive matches since January.

He's been involved in loads of play and has always looked dangerous. Constant thorn in their side. I totally agree that Henderson and Trippier have been really good. But I think Jesse pips them. Onions and all that.

Remember, this was the goal given that got Panama to the World Cup and kept the US and Honduras at home.
