Can I just say what the fuck was Hodgson thinkin putting Kane on corners?!
Sorry this is old but i'm bored, did any of the coaching staff etc ever answer that one?

Shaqiri could step up in the right team I reckon
He seems to have a pissy lazy attitude though.

If he was stupid cheap (and i mean cheap) i'd take him play him the early rounds of the domestic cups a few sub appearances try get his value up and sell him for a profit in January...

Then i remember Harry Redknapp isn't our manager anymore.

Because that game was win or bust for them, whereas Mexico were already through and didn't make as much effort.
Mexico wasn't through. They only qualified because Germany failed to beat South Korea and everyone expected Germany to beat SK.

They won their first two games so were on 6 points before the game against Sweden. They were through already, just a case of whether first or second.

They weren't through. Had Germany beat South Korea they would have gone out.

Nah, if Germany won they would have gone through with Sweden on goal difference. Mexico would've gone out on 6 pts.

Wrong. If Sweden won and germany won they all would have 6 points and Sweden and Germany go through. Sweden over Mexico on goal difference and/or head to head result. Why do you think the Mexico players looked horrified at full time?

Back to basics
Colombia v England (19:00 BST)

Gareth Southgate has confirmed that England will field the same starting 11 as began their first Group G game against Tunisia.
That means nine changes from the Belgium game, as England go with this:

Pickford; Walker, Stones, Maguire; Trippier, Henderson, Alli, Lingard, Young; Kane, Sterling

Young/Maguire worries me greatly. That side could be our undoing.

As expected it was a darn boring game.
But, then again, many on SC seem to prefer such teams to win rather than those teams that "bore" by keeping ball-possession and wanting to attack

I fully expect alli and kane to do a number on sanchez. As solid as sanchez looked in that last game, the spurs lads know his weaknesses, fully expect them to hound him into an early bath...

Had Germany won over South Korea - which was expected - Mexico would have been out.
Sweden played solid vs Mexico but had some "lucky" goals. 1st goal ended up as pass from a Swede who totally missed the ball from 10 meters out, 2nd goal was a clumpsy challenged and 3rd goal was an Own goal.
The winner to day was a clumpsy own goal as Forsberg's poor shoot took a defletion; i.e. an more quick witted defender would have let it pass or block the shoot with the body rather than stick out the foot.
