Paulinho is being linked with a return to China. Loan then obligation to buy.

If that goes through, what an odd saga.

Interesting. So, fwiw, two major takeaways from Balague:

1) manure are not bidding for Ronaldo

2) RM do not have a galactico lined up to replace him

Re 2): surely they will go for Neymar or Mbappe if they get Ronaldo's salary off the books plus north of 100m Euros as a transfer fee.

Re 1): I'm surprised. Perhaps Mourinho wants Bale instead.

EDIT: or looking at @hellava_tough 's post above, perhaps he wants Willian.

I wouldn't be surprised if Neymar tried to push through a transfer to Madrid now. He's probably concerned that Mbappe will overshadow him now and his ego will ensure that he's the main man. With Ronaldo leaving that opens up a void to be filled.

I'm sure he'll wish to be the centre of attention again too.

After all, he originally moved to PSG to be the main man in order to get a better shot at the Balon D'Or and make sure that this WC would be all about him, which has completely backfired IMO as I think being second fiddle to Messi was keeping him grounded and he was more respected at this point too.

Also saw this in the ES yesterday, which is basically Willian is for sale for £70m (at the end of the article):

https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/fo...anager-but-wants-deal-done-fast-a3881206.html

If a PL club got him, that's not actually bad value. Potentially 3 or 4 seasons of high performance from a very good, PL experienced player

I reckon that's a better deal, or rather a safer bet, than £70m for Zaha
Willian is 30 next month. That would be an absolutely abysmal deal.

"Jack Wilshere has started a medical at West Ham as the Hammers look to sign the 26-year-old midfielder on a free transfer from Arsenal on a three-year contract and a package worth £5m. (Times - subscription required)"

They're hoping to complete the medical in time for Wilshere's 30th birthday

N'Zonzi in talks with Arsenal, according to Sky. That would be a very good transfer for them, imo.

West Ham signing Yamolenko? That seems to have come from nowhere.
