That’s not true. Loans can, for example, be written off or converted to equity. That’s what Abramovich has done. You realise when you take out a loan you have to pay it back, right? It isn’t free money.

You're not the first (which actually contributes to the issue), but it is the epitomy of an uninformed opinion when it ignores the ITK we keeping having, and especially that which was posted 5 hours before your post..

You highlighted finite resources. We DO have finite resources. They are also likely to be at a lower level than many clubs we are competing with for players, so we have to be canny. Which we are."limited in size or extent"
The inference in "there is no loosening up" is that the club doesn't have much money or scope for improving our budget. That's what I was objecting to.
Banks are less keen on those options. That’s not true. Loans can, for example, be written off or converted to equity. That’s what Abramovich has done.
There is no losening up a bit we have finite resources most of which have gone on the stadium/training ground over the last ten years. Levy will operate inside that budget and try and get as much out of it as he can, that is his job.

Great post. Didn’t one of our ITK call it ‘shit or twist’ time? This simply isn't true. Our revenue has increased by nearly £100m in the last financial year alone, and is projected to increase by £100m more by next year. Stadium financing is secured through medium and long term loans. I wish people would stop propagating the myth that we are paupers. We are not. Sure we aren't City or Chelsea with unlimited millions, but on the other hand we aren't skint either.
Most expensive ticket prices in Europe next season. The time has come to either shit or get off the pot.
And considerably overpaying for average? Not this window- they’re doing a lot of business early.
Probably, but I wasn’t disputing that. Just that they’d been busier earlier this time. Quite like the look of Anderson thoughAnd considerably overpaying for average?

Love your avatar’s film btw
@[email protected] you disagree. This is where our money has gone in the last ten year. Yes we built up some cash reserves but that is because we started building the stadium and need them. We have a budget for players that levy will not go over because he can't.
This is the bit where I glaze over and start fidgeting with my groinWhat’s the £40m Preference share buy back bit? The club buying its own shares? I.e. increasing stake of owners?
It’s hardly uninformed. I don’t know the inner workings of spurs but watch window after window where we are told the signings are coming and then don’t.

You have no evidence to prove that we are not doing this aside from not having signed x amount of players that you deem worthy of you.Got no problem with being canny. We should be circumspect, absolutely. Meant to highlight the 'loosening up' bit too.

To prove that we are not spending according to the budget you seem to think we should have available for players.Sorry, no evidence to prove that we are doing what?
You're uniformed as to how transfers actually work (unless you'd want to claim inner knowledge), and I'd guess completely so in the context of the Grealish transfer.
Complaining as to why such an 'easy' transfer can take so long (when it's actually the opposite of easy) is why I suspect you're getting ratings. You don't need to agree, I'm just letting you know why, as you seemed to welcome the reasoning
