May as well close the thread now.if they’ve gone to the trouble of announcing a brand for the stadium name specific can’t see them announcing naming rights anytime soon.

You sure?

Well it seems weird to make a brand/logo announcement with specific detail on the “A” if you’ve got naming rights in the pipeline. Why would you go to all the bother of getting all the stuff they mentioned branded only to change it again. I actually thought the idea of “ Tottenham Hotspur stadium “ was effectively a blank space, but now they are giving that name much more credence.

That A is the same as the Tokyo and Milan ones. "North" my arse. In fact, is that the same font I see?

Why is the stadium logo an upside down pixelated Nike tick?

Is it fucking, Nike?! ?

That would be awesome imo.

Rather that than an airline or some shit.

People seem to be getting their shapes confused.

It's a stretch to think the veil on the stadium has any relevance to Nike's logo.

They're both curved in places. That's basically where the similarity ends.

What's more telling is the font they've used on the new branding. I.e. "Stadium" is done in the same font as the other Nike tie-ins posted above.

Interesting development, IMO.

I think @L.S.U.Yiddo was joking.

I know PR but wouldn't we be in a better position to demand more from a naming rights sponsor with a couple of additional good players as the attaraction? The objective in my opinion is to use the players to attract a quality naming rights and therefore more PR, and not the other way as you intimated ie use PR to attract players.

We’ve got the World Cup golden boot winner and captain how you gonna top that PR wise exactly apart from messi.

Yup that’s way too much of a coincidence and would be quite simple to add a tick into the design. How exactly does the Nike/Milan deal work ? Just adding the tick to the branding?

These are not real stadia but experiential installations by Nike at places like Milan, Tokyo, Berlin etc.
Nike Stadium is an experiential marketing platform of almost 10 years.

A bit puzzled myself by the design as it's identical with Nike's.
It's either:
a) Nike are moving into naming rights of large, signature stadia
b) Someone at Spurs' branding agency fucked up big time while noone was looking

It’s definitely an interesting connection. I’m not so convinced that Nike would sponsor a stadium, though, as it may be conflicting with their sponsorships with other clubs. But who knows.

its almost a given these days build or move to a new stadium, some big brand company want it named as them. To me it's taking the soul away from ground, as in years to come the sponsor will leave and then it gets rebranded. In my heart this stadium will always be WHL. I just hope the board select a brand without a daft name.
