It is now three and a half years since Tottenham Hotspur moved into their new home, a £1billion state-of-the-art stadium built on top of the old White Hart Lane. But despite chairman Daniel Levy confirming back in 2019 that the club would be interested in securing a “naming-rights deal” with the “right brand, on the right money”, no such agreement has been struck.

That could be about to change. Because The Athletic has learned that Tottenham are in meaningful talks with Google over naming rights for the 62,850-capacity stadium, which hosted an NFL match between the New York Giants and Green Bay Packers yesterday.

Worrying. They haven't exactly had success with Stadia.

Oh, interesting, I'll see if I can get anything out of my Google contacts, although changes are they won't know anything about it. Hopefully they will at least do what they've done at Wembley and get a decent corporate box that I can get some regular usage out of.

Tbh I think it’s wishful thinking I think it would have happened by now, fingers crossed 200 million could be invested back in or reduce our debts

P.s I know it’s not a lump sum

The crazy thing is google don’t need to advertise it’s pure vanity but hey it will help the world “multiplier theory”
