I have huge respect for Ally Gold, he was a regular column writer on this website when I first joined back in 2004 but with all due respect to him, I've not seen anything to suggest that he has any solid inside links at the club. He never used to be an ITK nor claim to be and I believe he only has "sources" now from working for Football.London and again.....they're not the most reputable of sites, they have surveys before you can read the content for goodness sake 
EDIT: I should reitrate that I believe fully that he's passing on info in good faith but I would wonder on the validity of the info he's getting, that's all.

Read the article football London I think and yeah he says e are only looking at home grown players because we have to many foreign players in our squad for champions league etc.. he thinks martial will be to difficult to do and thinks we won’t bid for Zaha.
I know he does a lot of reporting for spurs but as far as transfer stuff goes he ain’t itk so salt and pinch comes to mind

It's the fact that he's not on the list. I highly doubt @Breezer is bullshitting with his info, Herc too. Hertyid seems to have heard similar to Ally though so maybe they have similarly placed sources.

Taken with a pinch of salt as always, but I find this quite sobering and realistic.
I hope I'm wrong but I reckon Zaha will end up at Chelsea. They'll pay the fee, no problem - not sure we will.

Breezer has been bang on always with his news regarding Zaha, I always see the correlation between his news and then the media afterwards. I wish I could be fucked to prove it but I can't so.

Agreed, it's odd and a bit worrying. I didn't expect us to sign the likes of Martial and Zaha anyway, but the lack of links to a decent CM is concerning to say the least.
The Ally Gold article is quite a depressing read actually - I wouldn't advise anyone to read it if they want cheering up
