Everyone on here supports the club hence why people are disappointed with the way it’s turning out. Rather than go into the season full of hope we go into it with many questions. Don’t forget the more you charge the more those that pay will expect. That’s a consequence of the pricing strategy. We can still support our club and voice our concerns. Concerns by the way that our own manager shares.

we? Ive no questions to ask, we now have a team that is getting harder to improve considering the terrible and over priced market

the extra money for the Season Ticket is because that extra is paying the loans, the massive wage increase, and also a hell of a lot more staff than we had in a 36k stadium.

to many people don't take any salt (not aimed at you) with the ITK, and when we got the bit about 150m + there was many of us including myself most probably got excited, but that excitement soon calmed after the salt was added in my camp

You talk about taking salt with the ITK, which I don’t dispute. But then in your previous post you refer to the De Ligt, Martial and Zaha stories like they are gospel.... you don’t KNOW any of these stories are true.
You have just chosen to believe that they are because it suits your argument.

Yes you are correct I posted info on those bar de Ligt from what Ive heard from ITK. if they aren't in someway gospel then why do all those that moan believe the news about Levy isn't trying. we all post on here from what we believe is our opinion, whether that is right or wrong. none of us know exactly what was promised, exactly how much we would have to spend

The de Ligt I read that somewhere online, not ITK even though we was told of interest by them.

edit: the online article might of been crap also

Because we've got 5 days left and we've bought no one. Added to the fact he has previous and it's a pretty easy sell.

sorry but we haven't signed anyone, the total amount of signings made by the top 5 from last season is 8 in total. Only 1 of those players have any experience in the PL, so no 1 knows yet if they have actually strengthened and as JJ has eluded it's a terrible window.

lucky we have a very good team, but deep down to close this window early in a WC year has turned out to be the biggest cock up going, along with buying squad fillers the last god knows how many years.

Agreed. The only possible explanation is that we’re hoping Man U will relent and agree to a swap with Toby. I just can’t see it happening though. Seems more likely we’ll sell Toby and that’s it.

One aspect I didn’t understand about JJ’s tweet was the reference to weekly salary. Is Martial demanding £300,000 per week? I find that very surprising.

Agree. He is a chump if he thinks he has done anything to warrant 300K. That makes me laugh.

He is a 100K player if that. Hasn’t pulled any trees up yet.

JJ saying Martial wants 300K.... Hahahaha.

What is he talking about? Martial is only on about 75k at United. I'm sure he'd fit into our wage structure, that is the whole point of us trying to sign him, he is quality and he fits our wage budget.

We've talked about it a little bit on earlier pages but I am pretty sure he was just being hyperbolic about people's expectations of Spurs just going out there and spending top dollar to wrap up deals immediately and guarantee the player can't beat our deal. Not that Martial is really asking that kind of money.

I’m really trying to avoid talking economics in the Transfer Forum but then BSoDL like you keep coming out and talking utter garbage. Do you really think the season ticket money is being spent on a few more YTS kids on minimum wage ? If we don’t have finances at the moment there is only one reason and that is the failure to close a naming rights deal. Who is to blame for that is the subject of another thread. Suffice to say if our senior management were doing their jobs properly we should have a significantly bigger transfer budget this summer. Draw your own conclusions come the end of the window.

the only part you bolded was the least expensive, but it's still a cost. I agree that signings would be a bonus, and would of been great if they had been completed long time ago. the New stadium and player wages still have to be paid, and even if you don't feel it warrants the increase, the facilities and everything at the new stadium are better and should be increased.

JJ has mentioned the window has been very hard to deal in, and to be honest not many top teams have signed many players

If he was asking for that i'm sure we'd have been aware ages ago, and moved on.
Opinion! Not ITK

That’s a very binary way of viewing the life of an average fan, with all the contextual factors that affect the decisions they make about financial commitments brushed aside in a few dismissive sentiments.

I suppose my experiences are probably more limited than yours in terms of being a season ticket holder, so I’ll frame this in another way. I live in Cornwall so coming to watch Tottenham is always a greater financial and practical commitment, especially now my kids are keen supporters. It would cost me a small fortune to take us all up for a game and also mean arranging a baby sitter for the youngest. That’s a lot of expense and organisation. However, I’d deem it worth it if I knew my kids were likely going to watch some excellent football in a brilliant atmosphere. However, if it was, say, the more turgid football of the late 90s on offer, I’d probably not, on the balance of all things, consider it worth it. That’s not being fickle, that’s just life for me and my family in our circumstances, I don’t want to ever question the passion and commitment that comes with being a fan of the club I’ve adored since I fell in love with it when I was nine, and these qualities are evident in your posts, but for some of us the decision to come and watch Tottenham can be quite complex

Try a vasectomy old boy. It’s just a snip and the trouser snake doesn’t know it’s firing blanks. The wife and your bank manager won’t stop thanking you for it and you won’t have to worry about an attic conversion to house the little chappie. Fackinell must be something in the water in Cornwall and looks like Martial may have paid a visit there as well (y)

Nothing surprises me any more. I have never known the forums to be as toxic as they currently are.

The worry is, if as I fully expect we don’t sign anyone to fill the gaps we have, that this won’t take long to spill on the terraces

It’ll be awfully embarrassing for Levy going into the new stadium

Which he could well be aware of, but it’s getting too late to change

I am very annoyed with how this window has gone, it’s a massive missed opportunity. I don’t know the ins and outs though and once the season starts it’ll be forgotten on my part and I’ll just be behind the team as always

Hope everyone else is the same, I don’t want to turn into West Ham, I hate West Ham

it won't spill on to the terraces at all until we lose a game. Then Levy will be the new Irvine Scholar. If we fail to get targets then Levy deserves criticism. If we get anything like West ham style reactions in the stands then I will honestly be ashamed of my fellow supporters. If having a poor window creates protests in our Brand new stadium whilst watching CL football, then we will be a laughing stock for decades to come. This ilk of Spurs fans are everything that is wrong with Football now.
