Does it matter? If Toby is sold to Utd and we only sign one player unless it's Messi I highly doubt people are going to be dancing in the streets.

He said "this window". It ties in with the earlier itk of hertyid querying (trix) as to why it seems to be said that we have no money to spend. All heading one way at the moment.

I don't know that it would improve the team over last season but I can think of a couple of people who, if signed, would make me pretzel myself into thinking it was a positive window for us!

Agreed, but the quality of the player is important. I've said all along thats all I think we need if we stay put with the rest of the squad.

I don’t see how what I’ve posted contravenes that? All I said was that igi only ever posts itk when there’s an announcement that day, been the case as long as I remember. No sure why is deserved the spam rating you so graciously dished out, I never realised that making a comment on an itk in the itk thread was spam. Maybe I should’ve posted about net spend, HG and levy lacking ambition...

None of this seems very ambitious going into that shiny new stadium. I thought we’d have gone for it this summer. Really feels like this team is stagnating now. We have some great players, the best team we’ve had for a generation. It’s going to really hurt if they fall apart now.

What worries me is that if we only have one incoming this window - Pochettino can't possibly be content with that. I find it hard to believe that Pochettino said: "Give me Grealish and we'll take the next step this season".

I think you're missing the fact that all our rivals have strengthened, whilst we have chosen this Summer, the Summer before moving into our brand new stadium, to stand still.
We could have rode into the new stadium on an unparalleled wave of hope and optimism instead .... this ..... The equivalent of leaving writing your dissertation to the last day, having had months to get it together, and hoping it will turn out ok.
We do have a more than decent starting XI but our 'squad' didn't compare before this summer.
I feel sorry for Poch, missing all the England and Belgium players for a week or two and having to come out and pretend Moura and Lemela fit will be like new signings!
