Assuming we are/were seriously in for him and made some bids, I can understand Real could accept only chelski's and make it a sweetener after fucking them re. Courtois and hopefully Hazard.

always something isn't it though? fml.

we've supposedly been after him for years and the minute he's available, courtois wants to go home and gets used as a sweetener for the chavs of all people. couldn't wait another season, ohhhhhhhhhhhh no. ****.

I think what this window has demonstrated, amongst other things about our true financial position, is how little it actually means in reality that we are in the Champions League. . All the fuss about having to get top 4 to be able to buy the best , but top players are happily signing for non CL teams. It may possibly help retain current players but that is about all.

This is what levy has been waiting for, let kovacic have his medical at Chelsea then come in a meet the release clause and still him from under there noses. Revenge served cold

Wouldn't surprise me if this deals been on the cards/agreed for ages - Courtios leaving isn't exactly shock news. Wonder if it's been lined up until Chelsea found a keeper, as there's been almost no noise about Kovacic going anywhere, net alone here. RM have also done a good job through marca of distancing themselves from the player for the last few weeks/Courtois missing training has been reported as a mutiny, rather than an injury etc in the press - feels like spin all round.

This is obviously a sweetener in the Courtois deal. Not much we can really do about it unless we want to sell one of our best players to Madrid aswell.
