Anyone seen this?

Just makes me love him even more.

A proper rant from Poch about people making too much of a drama out of football decisions
I think it’s never they [Alderweireld, Rose, Dembele] were away from our thoughts. They are Tottenham players and always they were in my plans. Different situations, sure the players have different targets in their careers but not only them but the rest of the players. Look, for me it’s always the same, for me they are part of the team. Like always, for me it’s about to take the right decision. Unfortunately I can only pick 11 every single game. I am a person who always tries to be fair with everyone. But sometimes you cannot be fair when you can only pick 11, you cannot pick 12 or 13 or 14 in a squad with 25 players. Sure you cannot be fair with everyone. Look I am so clear. I was so clear with everyone. I need their commitment. 25 players will full commitment but not only one week, two weeks, one month and if I no play then I give up and start to say ‘The gaffer is a bad guy’. No it’s not a drama.
I think football we make it all a little bit drama and football is not a drama. Drama is another thing. Health is drama, war is drama. I don’t want to be a demagogue. But drama is many things in life but football is joy, to enjoy. It provides you with a lot in life to enjoy. I am such a privileged person thanks to that passion that is football. I can be here, I can talk English, I can learn English, I can travel around the world. I give to my people, to my family, my parents, my brothers and friends, try to help and give a very good life.
That is why sometimes I am so upset if one person can’t play a game it looks like it’s a massive drama. It’s not a drama. There are many things that don’t help the situations that happen. We need to try to be responsible, to be professional, but knowing that football is not a drama, it is a joy. Of course people that invest a lot of money in football it is a drama to lose money. But nobody put a gun to their head and said invest in football. Football is about to win or lose. The problem is when there is not a good balance between winning and losing and it’s more about business and money. In that money yes you start to feel that football is a drama.
I want to be away from that drama and I need feel that emotion and translate to my players that football is emotions. It’s the context of emotions. Yes it’s a business, it’s about money, but when you are on the pitch you need to feel you love the game. If you don’t love the game and your priority is business that it’s difficult to enjoy your game and you cannot sure enjoy with your team-mates, your family or your fans. This is why it’s so important to make it clear that football is not a drama. We make a lot of drama and in the real life are a lot of dramas. Football decisions are not things that we need to put in a situation that looks like it is something we cannot deal with.

That's why he is tailor-made for Levy

This take is very pessimistic but here goes. We are screwed either way this season because of this window.

Scenario #1) Poch manages to get another top four finish even with no transfers, World Cup fatigue, injuries, etc. What does Levy think in his head? "Well, Poch obviously doesn't need any incomings because he still managed top four with my backing." Then Levy thinks it is OK to stay out of making big moves in market. Poch's frustration can only build so much before he just says "I'm out" and leaves.

Scenario #2) Things fall apart. Injuries ravage club, no depth because no signings, and Spurs finish 6th or 7th. No CL, maybe no EL either. Poch says "screw this, I'm gone" and leaves for a club that will back him.

If Levy can't back Poch in a situation like this (new stadium, three consecutive top three finishes, young strong team that looks on brink of doing something very special), when exactly will he? That for me is what is especially frustrating right now. This was the perfect opportunity to boost the team and absolutely nothing was done.

This is one of the best posts I've seen in a long time. I completely agree with it all. Unfortunately this could be the last season with Mauricio Pochettino. We are in the best position we have ever found ourselves in and we haven't taken a chance and haven't been brave.

I see Borussia Dortmund in our near future.

You don't think he'll be gone? Poch has a history of leaving clubs that don't respect him or break promises. We have a strong first 11 but most are only just coming back from the W/C, we'll struggle to get top 4 this season. It would be an absolute miracle if we managed it.

There’s not much happening anywhere to be fair, sky’s main story is the Chelsea keepers which we knew yesterday.
City brought in Mahrez having failed in January & Liverpool overpaid to get in a new keeper and had 1 deal tied up from a season earlier plus have so far failed to shift their dead wood.
Arsenal have bought a few players that whilst they hope will address their short fails, wouldn’t get in our team.
Chelsea have maybe snatched a victory from the jaws of defeat but that’s only because they lost their keeper so got offered Kovacic.
It is astounding we haven’t signed anyone when on the cusp of great things and haven’t even completed the JG deal but I don’t think our rivals have done too much either, it really has been a hard window to do business in (not saying we couldn’t have done better, this is just an observation on the market in general).
Perhaps lessons have been learnt means first choices or no one, no more squad fillers leaving us with cash to spend if/when first choices are available (if we don’t mess it up).
We have to get to January still in contention (fa cup will have only just started) and hope we can freshen up then.
Maybe Martial (and possibly shaw if Poch still likes him) will run down contracts & we get him that way, I sense with the crazy fees we will see more of this i.e Hazard and Real Madrid, 200 million now or maybe 50mil next year when he has 1 year left.

As an aside people are starting to mention the scouting team and this could be a valid point. I would have expected a couple of promising youngsters at least as we have a good track record in this department.

There has been a lot of movement this window, though.

City had the best squad by far, but still strengthen with Mahrez, and added a few young talents.
Liverpool strengthened not just with a goalie and Keita, but brought in Fabinho (who's a great player), and added options with getting Shaqiri (who's done well for them in preseason).

I find it strange that Spurs didn't even find a few young talents. We seem to have stopped signing young talents, even when that is a key part of our football plan.

No. I don't.

For starters, I'm not one for internet gossip. You can buy into if you like, but it's all far too removed from the truth for my liking. Until Poch states on the record that the club no longer respects him or broke promises, I'll assume it's all nonsense and guess work.

As for the top four, of course it will be a challenge. It always is. But I have a little bit more faith in our squad and our manager than I guess you do. Even with no additions (and, so far, no losses), I still believe we are better than Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea, and not far behind United, who could yet lose Pogba.

The return of Toby, Rose and Winks - all fully fit and committed to the cause - will be like three new signings.

Maybe he isn’t pushing for signings as doesn’t want the added pressure
Spend nothing finish top 6 you have an excuse , I don’t get the impression he is banging on levy’s door

Then why would he come out and say what we are doing now isn't enough and he wants trophies.

Poch saying about players who aren’t starting games pulling their weight, being professional and try and get in the team. He’s obviously talking about Rose and Alderweireld. I just hope he doesn’t have to deal with them rocking the boat behind the scenes.
