For me now we don’t need another AM/winger well at least not in January. Can review again in summer but right now Sissoko has shown he is more than adequate as 6th choice AM and 5th choice CM a very handy squad player. Attacking wise I really think it’s just an adequate Kane back up especially as fatigue may really start to hit Harry come January. Be great if we could rest him with confidence come some of those lesser Wembley home games and hopefully few easy cup draws.

Mourinho apparently looking to offload Bailly, with the usual links for Toby resurfacing again. I have absolutely no idea what the plan for Toby is but the fact he still hasn't signed a new contract if the plans are that he's staying is a tad worrying. If it's true we're basically only going to finance transfers using cash from sales I would almost go so far to accept a Toby sale now to get some sort of reasonable fee for him. Let's say 25-30m + Bailly and I would start to consider the deal slightly acceptable, only under the premise we actually use that money to buy a damn CM, though.

Generally the best way to break the lines is with good intelligent and quick passing, we certainly do not have enough of these.

When Winks doesn't play we dont have anyone in the DM roles who does that. Dembele can do it by gliding passed people but he is not going to be with us next season, which will leave us even shorter than we are now. I feel if we had better or at least more players who could do this, our GK & CBs wouldn't find themselves under severe pressure in defensive positions so often.

Dier, Wanyama & Sissoko are all weak in this area mentioned so instead of making progress forward the ball continually goes back to CB & GK.

Winks is not a DM. Dier and Wanyama are.

Re the rest of what you said, it's a matter of styles. I prefer the way we play with Dembele than with Winks.

So you've gone so far the other way you've purposely under rated him? 17/18 year showing so much promise notching up as many minutes as he has and now at the top level, there's generally a reason why he's highly rated. There's a reason why there's an abundance of players this age don't get near the amount of games that's he's played so far, the kid is special.

There's nothing to suggest that he's over rated apart from this alleged price tag of £50m that seems to be a myth based on some rumours anyway and tbh if it were indeed the case Fulham are well within their rights to value him that much based on the stupid prices clubs pay for players these days.

I actually thought he would struggle in the prem, he made his name through scoring goals in the championship for a team that plays attacking football. the big difference in the Prem you don't get the space you get in the championship

He hasn't stood out and doesn't start for Bournemouth. Who would he play ahead of? Son? Lucas? I think not.

the only reason he isn't starting for Bournemouth is due to injury

I agree though he isn't better than what we already have. too many players getting a mention for an area we are not short on, and not sure they would enjoy the rotation compared to regular starts when fit

I would hope if we had a more capable backup Poch would rest Kane more. Enough for the guy to get 20 appearances or so.

Hope being the key word there.

I agree that Kane could do with some rest, but we are talking about a player that is never happy when sitting on the bench in cup games.

Kane just wants to play, score goals play CL football, play for England, hopefully win trophies but if the trophies don't come, he wants the golden boot. if a player is hungry Poch won't drop/rest them when they have talent.

what we need is the next up and coming striker that will be willing to do what Kane did once he 1st started to be come a squad player for us, 1 that will come off the bench and but accept he might not get as many minutes

And probably that Fulham went from being one of the best teams in their division to being one of the worst.

we definitely need a new LB/LWB whether Sess could do the WB I don't know, but definitely wouldn't want to risk 50m to find out. if he made his name in the Championship playing that roll, then I'd take a risk (again not at 50m) but he never, he made it playing a more attacking roll.

Son i believe has a better goals to game ratio to kane when he's played as striker for us. Moura can also play there and we always have llorente. We don't need anyone at the moment for that position.

There's literally no evidence of this £50m value that Fulham have put on him, I don't know why everyone keeps saying it for lol

It was a story in the times that we had bid £25m but were told £50m. Times is less likely to have click bait transfer stories.

Agree tbh, this idea that it’s all about passing the ball quickly is a bit of a myth imo. You need people capable of playing on the half turn, traveling with the ball and allowing your team to move up as a unit. Pinging the ball quickly to an isolated Alli, son or Lamela is not always the best option.

I think you can see it this year, our games are very up and down, more end to end. We don’t really dominate teams anymore and build up sustained pressure, were finding it hard to back up play and win the ball back as well. Not much prescense in midfield at the moment.
