cliche but 3pts all that matters, I'd rather play crap and win then play very well and lose - Burnley are no walk overs and are a very well drilled team so it was good to get the points in the bag. Pressure is a funny thing and we're starting to build up a great set of results at a key time in the season

I actually watched the timer when the ball went out for a Burnley GK when they brought on Chris Woods.

It was a total of 62 seconds. I then timed one of our similar scenarios and it was 30 seconds.

It was funny/annoying to see Joe Hart spiriting to retrieve the ball to take a goal kick, sprinting to put the ball down and running up to kick it without doing that stupid Pogba like run up before so for the first time in the match :ROFLMAO: After we'd scored of course.

Even Sean Dyche was laughing as he knew Hart had been taking the piss with all the other goal kicks.

Eriksen is probably our 2nd most important player after Kane.

I disagree in that I think he might be more important, or at least as important as Kane.

Everything else I broadly agree.

If he does go, we have to hope that it will be more like Liverpool post-Coutinho than Spurs post-Bale.

I think Hart was laughing too

So all we need to do is find a player who will set the single season record for goals in the premier league.. Should be easy then!

Soaking wet, but ecstatic. So satisfying to see those time-wasting shots get their just desserts. I thought Rose wasn't at his best tonight and he seemed to have picked up a left sided shoulder injury. They got away frequently with shoving Davies in the back. A very important three points, which is all that mattered.

Can't wait to see the Opta stats and Burnley's average positions. I am sure it will look like a Christmas tree within 10 yards of their penalty area. Very festive.

So glad we finally put it in the onion bag. Hump put away from another weekend. Burnley were one of the most negative teams I’ve seen in a while. They deserve to go down playing like that.

What do you expect them to do?
Play open attacking football and get beat 5-0.

I don't buy that argument.

Bournemouth, who have arguably the least resources in the league, play an open brand of football and have done just fine in the Prem for years.

The problem is that too many managers choose the safe, boring option of sticking 11 men behind the ball and time wasting at every opportunity, because they don't have the tactical ability to do anything else. Hence my admiration for Eddie Howe.

Love the optimism. Hopefully this thread doesn’t turn into a WTF session if things don’t go to plan.

Looking forward to seeing the young lad do us proud (y)

I think that Poch's trust in his players was justified. The young lads certainly did us proud. Burnley turned with no intention of making a game of it playing a flat back five and making no real attempt to move out of their own half. That is always more difficult to score against. That said, we did create the chances to have won more comfortably. For me it wasn't the team selection that made the game so nerve jangling tight, but the players who were given half decent chances to score having one of those days.

No criticism from me - our brilliant start continues and, with a history of having a good run in in the second half of the season, my optimism grows each week as we continue to prove we are a top European club.

The most beautiful thing about winning that late on was the sound of Gooners nationwide shouting as one 'Oh ffs' and their hearts breaking ha ha.

'We'll be 4th tomorrow when we win. We'll be 4t.... oh bollox.' :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

North London remains Blue.

Xg for this match was spurs 1.7 vs 0.6 Burnley. I expect the 0.6 comes from their only chance when woods went 1v1 and instead of taking the shot, held it up as they were that desperate for a draw

Imagine being a Burnley fan...travelling all that way down to London, sitting in the pissing rain in about 3 degrees all afternoon, and not even seeing a shot on target.
