We have a brand new stadium, we have fantastic training facilities, we are London based, we now pay our players decent wages, we have a great squad and competing for honours. We are not the Spurs we used to be, we are rapidly improving as a team and a brand. Poch has all this and also a great relationship with the chairman. He would be crazy to turn his back on all this right now! Let’s all relax and enjoy watching us turn into a superpower. We’ve got this.

Also, I hear Old Trafford pour their beers from above the glass. Luddites.

Don’t buy all this leverage for January stuff. For a start, almost all the best players ( and most likely Poch targets) will not be available. So then he’s just left with promises.... and we all know what a Levy promise/gentlemen’s agreement is worth?
It's also the exact same stuff that people said in regards to the Madrid job and that now Levy had to back him. We all know how that worked out.

But if Poch doesn't want to be here whats the point of trying to keep him, with new signings, new contract etc.

Well from what Balague is saying there's no guarantee he'd even be convinced by Utd. If Levy refuses to agree compensation I'd imagine he'd happily honour his contract and crack on with the job at hand.

Poch is ambitious but must also know his stock would rise significantly if he takes Spurs to a trophy this season. If Spurs continue to improve his reputation will continue to grow. In addition Poch has spent several years re-making Spurs in his image and is seemingly so close to seeing big results from this project.

So all in all I hope that Poch feels that he has time on his side and both Real and ManU will be back for him in the future. Now is the time to reap some rewards at Spurs for all the hard work with a shiny bright team and a shiny new stadium

imo if Levy agrees compensation then Poch goes, he's all about loyalty and trust

I think he'll want at least a year in the new stadium before leaving. He's come too far and built too good a team to want to walk away from it now. There'll always be a big job available for him by now, it's not like he's a player at the tail end of his twenties when it really is now or never

I think Levy is going to be faced with harsh realisation if Poch does not get what is promised.. I feel that with the right backing Poch will stay with us, but I don't see him getting it, yet again.

There's a lot of optimistic posts in here, yeah Poch (apparently) turned down Madrid (after he signed a new contract and was probably promised money for transfers).

But the UTD job is taylormade for him, while I hope he stays and wins us titles if he feels he's taken us as far as he can with the current backing from the board then he'll go.

Yes I agree, although whether Levy would actually accept any offer from Utd of all clubs for his services is very debatable!

If he wants to leave i hope Levy let him - Poch deserves to decide this himself imo and why keep a manager that have his mind else where.

Worst case scenario we get a huge compensation and hire som other fucker.

Totally agree but I do feel levy and his legal dept should be up Gary nevilles arse today for what has been all in all been an illegal approach in public on behalf of the mancs.

I think I've been picked up wrong, I'm smiling as I know they have not a chance of getting him and I'm happy he's ours.

I got 7 wtf's etc as comments though, thats a bonus, I'll have to return the favours.

Oops thought you a Gooner.. The Sir Henry bit coupled with the profile pic which I couldn't make out and looked like a Gooner kit and your post.

I withdraw my idiotic post (n).

Levy would 100% ship the boat out for Mourinho if Poch left and he was available, Levy wanted him desperately after Chelsea.

Would be panic stations because he could destroy all the hard work we've put in over the last 5 years.

Would we let Poch leave at the end of the season if we won PL and CL double this season?
I don't think we'd "let" him leave if we win nothing. Managers contracts are not the same as a players though so it's irrelevant.

It's a different Mourinho now, he'll never manage in England again

Doubt it. His stock has fallen massively since then.

If we refuse to agree compensation, what happens then? If he actually says he wants to go I don't think there's much we can do.
