Balague (Decent source for Poch you'd think)

United's favorite coach is Pochettino. But they'll have to negotiate with Levy. Then they would have to convince Pochettino too. None of the two things are guaranteed

https://t.co/ocmfQOZRSl

The jist seems to be that there is no release clause and that Poch would not force a move if no compensation could be agreed. Also suggests Poch choosing Utd over us is not a given.

Levy will certainly be difficult, but if DL isn't prepared to back the manager Poch might decide it's time to move.

If United have any real ambition, if the current regime cares about anything more than where their next noodle partner is coming from, they'll move heaven and earth to get Pochettino to the club in the summer.

going to be incessant from all the united loving media pricks now. Just so fucking arrogant it just boils my piss, regardless of how unlikely it may be. They think they can just click their fingers and everyone takes a knee for them.

I think it's down to Levy whether he stays or goes. Poch is ambitious and wants to win things and to do so, investing in the team and infrastructure is required. We are ahead in the latter with training ground, stadium etc but not former.

Also, we predominantly have young, hungry players who are willing to learn which he has moulded, whereas some of theirs do seem like prima donnas who down tools if they don't like what they hear, similar to when he started with us. Would he want to start again and would Utd ?

I'm hoping he sees this and realises he is actually closer to achieving things with us. He just needs to be backed in the transfer market. Liverpool are only 6 points ahead but spent £150m over the summer plus £75m on VVD in Jan. If we had invested half of that, then the gap would be smaller or we'd be ahead.

Levy is not dumb and must realise a bit of investment is needed and will back Poch who in turn will realise that he will realise his dreams quicker with us. That's what I hope anyway. We wouldn't be anywhere without Poch and it's only in the past few years when I've actually felt that we are one of the big boys albeit with a smaller wallet.

I think we need to start the openthewalletLevyforPoch# movement!

@showpochthemoney

I think it would take at least 100m to prize Poch away from Tottenham were he keen on exploring the possibilities

Would Man U be willing to spend that kind of money on getting a man that as yet has won nothing and will take a good few years to build something at United

I think I've been picked up wrong, I'm smiling as I know they have not a chance of getting him and I'm happy he's ours.

I got 7 wtf's etc as comments though, thats a bonus, I'll have to return the favours.
I knew that but was just pulling your leg. The wtfs are a bit harsh IMHO. ;)

If man utd start pushing for Poch and the squad are liking the idea of him joining but Poch shuts this down by committing his future to us,
could the likes of Rashford (out of contract in 2020) or even Shaw be open to a move to join Poch here?

I do truly believe he’ll stay if Levy delivers what he has told him he will in terms of improving the squad.

The real problem is that this will hang over the whole rest of the season like an eggy fart in a hermetically sealed room.

Inter Milan won the treble despite constant speculation that Mourinho would go to Madrid....he went

Sure it's been mentioned already, but isn't it funny how as soon as the United job becomes free the fact that Poch hasn't won anything suddenly disappears as a criticism!

Poch is a fantastic manager so there will always be stories linking him away. This will all have simmered down by January and will emerge again next Summer. Rinse and repeat.

He’s an ambitious man and if he isn’t given the assurances that he deserves from Levy, he’ll go IMO.

He’s always gone to better his career e.g. from Espanyol, Saints, then to us.

Over to you Daniel.

I was about to post the same...I've read from a few pundits/Journos that Poch not winning anything shouldn't be used as a stick to beat him with yet those same people use that very fact to beat THFC with...weird!

But if Poch doesn't want to be here whats the point of trying to keep him, with new signings, new contract etc.

At the end of the day, only he knows what he wants to do. IF, he does go however, I'd rather he informs the club now and we have the next 6 months to find a proper successor and keep the project going. Don't want this to be last minute.

They have a habit of nicking our best members of staff, I hope he stays but if he goes I'm sure we wont have any problem getting a top manager in, what with our new stadium, up to date training facilities and a pretty good squad. He would leave us in good shape for someone to come in and pick up the mantle.

I have to say I am worried but not overly, he has said before the choice isn’t with him it’s with Levy, I think during the Real interest last summer. When you think about this it’s a clever answer as he is saying Jen is happy to stay while not burning any bridges in the future. The question is can United turn his head with their pots of gold and academy? I would like to think given the 6 years and numerous quotes about his future being tied to us he wouldn’t but we as fans never really know.

Does anyone else get the feeling if Levy doesnt have a very interesting January transfer window, it's curtains from Poch, he had last summer, I don't think he'll get the benefit of another.
