This is Conjecture. There's been no proof that Levy broke a deal with Poch on signings. In fact there's also been ITK that states Poch refused the options so I don't think what you say is conclusive. On the contrary, Poch consistently has said how good hid relationship is with Levy. I must be the only person that thinks he'll be our manager in 5 years time.

The situation at Southampton was very different. Poch pinned his colours to the mast and said if the Director goes I go, they got right of the Director and he found the next opportunity out and left.
It’s all conjecture unless your on the inside you’ll never know the truth. Poch is a good operator and on the surface will toe the company line. Despite a few distracted press events at the start of the season which may also hint at his dissatisfaction.

The Southampton departure was also about not being backed. Whether he made a stand with Nicola it was about being backed.

That's the thing for me, Salah last season basically did what Kane has done consistently for the past 3 or 4 years so I don't understand why he's above him. Makes very little sense

It's FIFA, of course there's an agenda. The next WC is in Qatar so they will want to market to an African audience to raise the competition and FIFA's profile in the vicinity and maximize investment from the local area. Egypt had an exceptional player but now he's one of the top five best players in the world - massive marketing opportunity.

Of course, this is just my guess, I could be completely wrong, but he looks out of place in front of Greizmann & Hazard who have shown class and consistency for several years.

This is the big thing that the media are failing/ignoring to address. “well he left Southampton as soon as a bigger job came along, so of course he’ll leave Spurs” The director leaving was THE reason he wanted out, we were lucky enough to be able to profit from this.

It's nothing to do with fifa mate. It was a panel of ex players and journos from the guardian

Agree to a certain extent but we have a world wide fan base of 35m. Utd have 680-750m. Doesn't make them better, but they are bigger.

You know, I agree - we will never be AS Big AS United or Liverpool.

But let’s WIN PL, CL and a bunch of other trophies the next decades as a small Club then! (Sorry for the iphone-big-letters)

"Sad to say based on recent results this could be another West Ham debacle. We seem toothless in attack no finishing in front of goal even when they are sitters. I feel no love here at all. I hope the boys prove me dead wrong."

-----

"
I like spurs. Excellent team right now. Can’t see us getting anything 0-2
We really need a big result against one of the top teams"

-----

"
I fear spurs more than United, Arsenal, Chelsea etc

So with that in mind we'll probably get tonked.

Merry Christmas blues x"

-----

"
Score first and they are toast.

And boot Dele Alli. Thanks"

-----

"This will give us an indication of where we are. The gulf between City and Liverpool is vast, the gulf between Liverpool and Chelsea is a big one as well, but, the gulf between position 3 to 6 is not too great, so...let's see how we go against the spuds."

-----

"We have to win this game otherwise the wheels have well and truly fallen off."

-----

"This is where we see what Silva is made of. Some poor results recently another one and Sunday and we couldbe bottom half behind teams like Brighton and wolves Leicester etc which isn't good enough"

-----

"
more chance of santa actually shimmying down your chimney than us beating our bogey club at home this christmas..

not in the form we are in. would take a huge transformation"

-----

"Think this is the type of game SIlva will do well in, struggle against crap teams playing for a draw but an actual football side coming for three points i have confidence in him, this is the first top 8 side to come to Goodison for him, really have a good feeling about this one, 2 or 3 1 to us"

-----

"It'll be either a 1-1 draw or we'll win. No way are Spurs winning this."

-----

".we’ve struggled to break down teams who come to Goodison and defend in numbers but we’ve performed reasonably well against the better teams away. It’ll be interesting how this game pans out. I can see Spurs scoring, it’s just whether we can take our chances at the other end.

I fear we’ll need 2 goals to get anything from the game."

Always surprises me the difference between fans of the blue half of the city and the red half, I know Everton are mid table but when the Liverpool fans were mid table they still thought they were going to win every game and anyone above them cheated.

Interesting comments regarding Walker again from City fans. I'm not posting this to reinforce any opinion that he's shit or anything, it's just intriguing to read their thoughts:

He’s so Spursy at the moment.

I remember Spurs fans used to always complain about him having one major brain fart every game that would cost a goal.

Needs a rest and get back to basic defending

Needs to be taken out of the team for a few weeks he is a complete liability at the moment and that is not a reaction from just today’s game. At least 1 brain fart a game and today, no idea what he was doing for their first and the penalty was plain stupid

The penalty is completely unexplainable for someone who has played at the top level for as long as he has. Needs dropping.

I'm struggling to remember the last time he blocked a shot or stopped a ball going in the box.

Kyle Walker and performance are rapidly becoming an oxymoron.

He’s absolutely shit for the level we aspire to be.

Delph is also poor but the difference is Delph knows his limitations so often doesn’t try anything (apart from Watford away) and gives it to the midfield, whereas that **** Walker thinks he’s fucking Roberto Carlos and tries to play like him without having an end product.
I’ve never liked Walker since he Tweeted that shit about City fans when he was at Spurs.
He shouldn’t be anywhere near this squad.

I really hate to have a pop at a City player but he has truly awful for weeks. He seems to have lost the ability to make a tackle, he is frequently caught out of position and his rushes of blood to the head seem to be happening more and more. I think he needs some time on the bench. If only Danilo wasn’t such a sick note. I wonder if Komps might be an option when fit. Now we have fixed the centre back problem we have to fix the full backs (both sides).

He went for - and took the Man City petrodollars.....

He wasn't a pig in a poke. The trial period has ended, no refunds will apply. Apologies.

When you watch City he's obviously the odd one out. His sheer pace and 1v1 defending make him an asset (which is precisely why Guardiola bought him) but his technique is a step below the rest of their team. They'll be passing it about all velvety and then Kyle will pop up and shin a simple cross into the stands. Some things never change.

City fans weren't complaining when they were winning games. Moaners come out now when it gets a little awkward.

Kyle Walker is still a very good LB. Sorry RB..thanks @dickieven.

I agree with your point fella, but those figures are way off surely? Think you've added an extra 0. Even then, there's no way utd have almost 10% of the population supporting them.

I think he is better at RB personally.

We do miss his pace but not his mistakes. I still think he is a decent player.

Due to City & The Blue SCUM losing, I'm already feeling the pressure of needing a win today. Imagine what pressure there is on our team already.
