There are only 8 home games in a season, we could fit those in without you even noticing. If we can accommodate that then great, if we had to make unnecessary compromises then it's a problem, and i dont think we would do that as the backlash woudlnt be worth it.

At this point it's all guesswork and it's really not worth getting worked up over hypothetical situations, but as a principle i want the stadium used as much as we can without impacting on the football club. The world has changed and no club can afford to build a stadium and only use it for football, those days are well and truly over so we have to make the most of it and use a massive asset for what it is, the best stadium in the whole wide world that any team would be grateful to play in.

It’s the principle. Rent it out to whoever you want, boxing, X games, puter game nerds I don’t care but it’s our home. Not ours and someone else’s.

Someone has to be on a wind up, that or they know fuck all about what you are going on about. This convo. mirrors a lot of what has been written on twitter this morning.

Fuck a duck go and do some research and learn that this is our future for the foreseeable future.

What is our future for the foreseeable future?

A London nfl franchise, if it ever happens, could have 2 or 3 home grounds. Wembley and Twickenham will want a piece of any action I’d imagine.

The nfl pitch is to be used for all manner of things. Gigs, boxing etc. It means our pitch will never be disturbed.

I’m not a huge fan of it but I accept it.

Me to. I can live with it. In fact I’m still super excited to move in. I’m just saying that, for me, if there was any permanent grounds share in the future I’d be profoundly disappointed but as matey said there’s no point getting worked up over hypothetical scenarios.

I dont see why anyone would have an issue of NFL sharing the ground. It would actually be far worse if we had this extra pitch that we didn't use much. Not to mention the separate NFL changing room. The Spurs games still take part in the normal way, it just means the stadium is going to be used even when there's no game on. As far as the look of the ground goes, they've clearly made it a very digital ground for a reason. It will mean that the lighting effects etc reflect the event taking place. So what if the stadium has an NFL look when there's an NFL game on. As long as it's back to Spurs colours when we play.

I also hope they do more events on the 2nd pitch. Set up a full drone racing course and host drone racing. Set up e-gaming events, concerts, maybe Boxing, MMA and Wrestling. It's all about generating money and paying back what we've spent on the stadium. This is one of the most expensive stadium and it's clear we need to recoup that money. It's an investment and Daniel Levy knows he has to sell it. He doesn't just want to make his money back but wants to start generating profits. That's why the whole Tottenham development is so important for the club.

We need to bring more people to Tottenham outside of just the Spurs matches. Sure the Spurs games will always be the first priority, it's our ground and the stadium will be available to us whenever we need it. However there are a lot of times in the year when we're not using it. These are the times we need to fill. Not only for the club to generate money but to make Tottenham an area people want to come to.

That’s cool and I’m all for renting it out for other shit just don’t want anyone else to be able to claim it’s their home. Only we should be able to do that. Otherwise its not “our ground” as you said in your post. It’s ours and whoever the fuck else.

There's no danger of that happening. I dont think we claim Wembley is our home really. Everyone will know it's our stadium and I'm sure the club will promote any events as such. It will always have the cockeral outside and on top and Tottenham signage around the place.

I'm sure we'll get a stadium sponsor soon too. But for any representation of the stadium name it will always need to be made clear that it's Tottenhams stadium. It's all down to the club to keep its name attached to everything.

I'd have been extremely pissed off if we'd fucked about with the stadium and made compromises to it's suitability as a Foorball ground just to accomodate NFL or anything else, however that isn't the case, by every account what we've created is a superb football stadium and somehow effortlessly accomodated the alternative attractions, that's fine by me.

Jesus Christ isn’t that the most lazy reporting? Zero context from the writer on the fact that all matches have been listed as Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on our site until they’re actually postponed?

It is a bit shit, i just put it out there...
Its clear they will set this up so when/if it is 'delayed' again they beat us with a stick

Why on earth would the club spend all thus money on the retractable pitch for NFL if it’s not going to be used as often as possible. You must be living on a different planet

I don't follow NFL but it is an open secret that London is top of the list for a new team or venue for a team so I have always considered that this is in the mind of Levy and co in the building of the new stadium. I believe they hope to have a team based at the NWHL one day. If it provides us income that we invest in wages/players then OK. Also if it means we avoid Sunday games then that's a real bonus.

Why would it stop us from playing games on a Sunday? We have to play certain games on a Sunday - after European games for example. If there was a clash I'd expect the NFL game to be moved to a Saturday.

Or for the NFL games for the team taking it to be arranged for when we play away?
