I haven't told you how I actually feel about it, I just said it is alot of dollar. I mean why bother building the new stadium in the first place with this ability if this wasn't the long term goal?

You want to all that's coming to you but are not interested in the business that is football, that's cool, but the game moved on years ago, we're just playing catch up is all.

Fair enough and I appreciate we have to be more creative in generating other revenue streams to compete with the big boys but, like I say, I draw the line at permanently sharing our ground with an American football team. Hopefully it never happens.

Well, thank fuck for the retractable pitch and the fact they play the majority of their games on a Sunday, I for one hate playing on Sundays, silver linings and all that! ;)

That completely irrelevant to me. Like I said, a couple of meaningless games a year I could just about handle. Just. But permanently sharing our ground with 8 plus games being played there is to much. That and commentators saying “the X stadium, home of Tottenham Hotspur and the Oakland Raiders” would sicken me. As I say though, that’s just me and maybe I’m in a minority

You didn't even read the article did you? Their stadium in las vegas isn't ready till 2020 so they are homeless for 1 season. It is not permanent.

Fair enough. Half a season (our season) sharing ... Guess it is how we all view it. Never mind!

Indeed I did not. I read the post by thingy saying it’s old and probably bollocks and decided not to. I’m speaking in general about potential possibilities and where I draw the line as a fan.

Fair enough. I'd hate if aliens took over and we were forced to eat grass.

Would be good for the environment though.

And, tbf, a permanent London based franchise has been talked about for years however likely or unlikely it is but I’d hazard a guess it’s a slightly more likely than Aliens visiting but maybe not.

Do I? If you say so.

While we are it let’s see if we can whore out something that I love even more and dilute it to the point that it’s not even recognisable. I can tell my grandkids, hey kids, there used to be a football club over there. But we made a fuck load of money and really grew the brand and that’s all that matters to me.

If you have no interest in the NFL, how will it ever effect you in any way?

I’ll still know about it though won’t I.

What about if we have gigs of music you dont like? Is that a problem too? Is boxing ok or does it need to not have any Americans involved?

Personally i have more of a problem us building a magnificent stadium for millions of pounds and then only have it used every fortnight for 8 months of the year.

You don’t do groundshares with Rock bands. Like I said, I could handle a situation where we host a couple of meaningless NFL games per year but I draw the line of some other sporting franchise calling it their permanent home.

And if some rock band wanted to play all their gigs there and never play anywhere else then I’d have a problem with that too. Though that obviously would never happen.

This spurs raiders story shows the ridiculousness of the media. It was first mentioned last Sunday by some pundit on Fox NFL coverage. It was then instantly picked up by a few other US sources. Then it was instantly dismissed by various other sources including CBS. Then nearly a week later some no mark writes an article in the mail online and 24 hours later every UK media outlet picks it up ?

Why on earth would the club spend all thus money on the retractable pitch for NFL if it’s not going to be used as often as possible. You must be living on a different planet

There are only 8 home games in a season, we could fit those in without you even noticing. If we can accommodate that then great, if we had to make unnecessary compromises then it's a problem, and i dont think we would do that as the backlash woudlnt be worth it.

At this point it's all guesswork and it's really not worth getting worked up over hypothetical situations, but as a principle i want the stadium used as much as we can without impacting on the football club. The world has changed and no club can afford to build a stadium and only use it for football, those days are well and truly over so we have to make the most of it and use a massive asset for what it is, the best stadium in the whole wide world that any team would be grateful to play in.

How do you define often as possible? Permanent London based NFL team playing all their home games at the new stadium?

Someone has to be on a wind up, that or they know fuck all about what you are going on about. This convo. mirrors a lot of what has been written on twitter this morning.

Fuck a duck go and do some research and learn that this is our future for the foreseeable future.
