If we have to lose Eriksen I'd love to take Modric as part of the deal.
We're probably dreaming here but Modric, even given his age, is exactly what we need IMO.

That makes Harry Kane worth 500 million ?Not sure if already posted but levy wants 225 Million #allegedly for Eriksen :-

were not willingly selling them. They are forcing the club's hand. It's how football works. Can we please stop selling players Toby, Eriksen - argh
They are two key components to our team and how we play
Levy time, gotta love it ?
Not too sure if that applies in this case. Eriksen is in the last year of his contract next season. Gives him far less leverage..
Basically said he wants to stay on Danish tv last night. Very encouraging interview.

Yes, I too enjoy replacing my bottle of super Tuscan red wine with grape juice from the local coop.Surely Jack Grealish, would be Erisken's replacement?
I like Grealish, but his skillset is nowhere close to Eriksen's. We'll need some sort of proper schemer if he goes in the summer.Surely Jack Grealish, would be Erisken's replacement?

For what role though ? Hazard cannot do what Eriksen does by way of supporting his own defence and other midfielders. Eriksen cannot do what Hazard does when attacking goal but they are different players performing differing roles. Silly to compare them. Ideally you would want them both in your team as they compliment one another.
The club isn't above criticism but in this case, I'm sure that they've offered decent terms - unfortunately the one thing we cannot guarantee is trophies and any player with ambition would want to see some silverware at the end of their career. Not to say he wouldn't win any at Spurs but when your Real Madrids and Barcelonas come into the picture, any player is bound to be keen because their chance of winning a champions league medal or title medal is suddenly increased massively. Taking my Spurs specs off, I don't blame the guy.Oh I know - im being irrational blaming the club
I guess with the whole Eriksen thing it just didnt really come into my mind we could potentially lose him - the contract situation wasnt exposed int he media until recently... didnt think of it as an issue. Toby we all know though

That is a good point. You could argue that we're not a charity so there is no moral obligation on his part but if he has known for some time that his heart was set on a move then it would have been nice if it was made clear. Perhaps the lack of transfer activity in the last window did it for him. Maybe he was open to a new contract before and that he's not now convinced that his ambitions will be met at the club.Dont blame the guy but he could show us some respect by signing a new deal so we get a true value for him and then have a suitable agreement in place that if a certain came in and bid in at a certain price, would work best for both parties
