We'd be great destination for any player looking to go on loan. We're one nil up at half time in a cup semi final, we play at Wembley which is a dream for many players, we've got one of the best teams and managers in Europe and were still in the champions League. We'd be the destination of choice for an awful lot of players who are looking for a move.
Yeah but there’d be the loan contract/fees to be negotiated and Daniel likes to be careful and thorough. Very thorough

Man Defoe was available - id have snapped him up
I was thinking the same. But he is 36, not been playing. Whoever we get we should look at a slightly long term, given Llorente is on the move anyway

I was thinking loan move, if this happened a week before no doubt we would have got him in...

Would a loan striker from outside of the Premier League even be likely to hit the ground running with us, as they'd basically be required to do? I think whoever we do get will likely be an understudy to Llorente and Lucas Moura/Dele.

Would make more sense to pick up a young English talent on a permanent deal. Not sure if the kid from Sunderland (edit: not Forest) would be up to it, but you'd hope our scouts might have a name or two.

Loan makes the most sense, given that we know that nobody high quality wants to be Kane back up, however, if there’s a top decent player who’s not had enough game time, the next two months in our first team could be his shop window to attract the types of clubs he wants.

And now I’m having Andy booth flashbacks.

Lautaro Martínez is the one who could replace him. He is being linked to Betis this window, surely he could do a job.

Wouldn't it be better to discuss possible loan strikers in the Kane thread? Trix has already warned us about guessing players in here.

Good strikers are easy to bring in on loans/for bargain prices so it's all good really.

Fuck me...not feeling good about this tbh.

Not cf, but supposedly can play there and rumours around and we've been interested in the past, Malcom?

Too small for CF (and hardy ever plays there), doesn't know England, will cost a fortune for short term and no non-HG places at the moment.

We’re like Theresa May, we won’t listen to reason or advice.

There is non-HG place on PL team, N'Koudou is not used and can be dropped from PL squad.

Point is we need to sell, which we've always needed to but haven't.

May be a place if Dembele goes, but the point stands before everyone starts pulling out their obscure favourite possible loan children from FIFA and FM.

He just scored two in the cup and is Icardi's primary understudy. They gave him the number 10 shirt for a reason. I would be gobsmacked if they loan him out considering how highly they rate him.

We have a very keen interest in Timo Werner. We are in discussions with his club. Going to come out anyway. Happening is another thing

One of those long-time targets, seemingly. Pretty amazing considering he's only 22!

He could play with Kane as well when he comes back. I think he has the ability to play off the wing in a similar fashion to Son.
