football.london understands that the club has been inundated on the final day of the window with a flood of calls from agents from across Europe offering their players to Mauricio Pochettino's cause.

However, Tottenham have not been biting and football.london understands the club do not expect to seal an incoming transfer before the 11pm deadline.

There is always the possibility of a late deal that is just too good for chairman Daniel Levy and Pochettino to turn down arising in the final hours, but that is thought to be unlikely.

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi was one of those players offered to the north London outfit, with the player believed to be interested in the move across the capital, but Tottenham did not take up the loan offer.

Seeing as the rules are out of the window

So Levy's new strategy is to make potential players and their agents beg?

Why would Spurs do Chelsea a favor and babysit that turd? ...

I understand people wanting to do something in this market .... But Batshuyai? ...

14 league games left, 7 points clear of 4th - do we need to bringing anyone in that Poch is not convinced on? Arsenal and Chelsea both play Citeh in the next two games - if we are 10 points clear of them with 12 to go it will need a Harry style collapse to prevent us getting CL

OR

14 league games left, 7 points behind 1st...

I imagine the club will be viewing it from the perspective of the former of the above. They'll be happy with CL qualification. I can't see them splashing out now with the aim of pushing for the title. Especially now Son is back and we have fewer games being out of the F.A. cup.

I will go so far as to say this is a lie.

Why is that so funny? Batshuayi has been criminally under used by Chelsea. When they did play him (generally off the bench) he scored a few goals and then he went on loan to Dortmund and was brilliant, 7 goals in 10 apps. Things didn't go so well at Valencia but he's a talented kid.

I'd happily have had him on loan and frankly I'm amazed Chelsea would've allowed it.

I really hope Poch isn't playing games with Levy. There is only one winner there.

Oh my God why wouldn't he want batshuayi?!?!

It sounds like BS. He wanted to leave Chelsea because he didn't want to be a back-up striker. What's the point in Poch bringing him here where he'd be a back-up striker to the best forward in the league?

I'd have considered him two weeks ago, but with Sonny back and Kane appearing to be ahead of schedule I think it's fair to turn it down. He is a pretty natural goalscorer, and is quick. Did pretty well at Dortmund.

I think Poch will stick with Llorente now. Bad misses aside he is clearly a pest for defenders, getting him game time now might help us later in the season as a late plan B.

I'd be surprised if Chelsea would deal with us anyway.

We don't need to buy a player in son's position though. We sold our best midfielder and our best striker is injured for the next month and a bit. I don't understand their thought process. What happens if/when Winks or Sissoko actually get injured for a month because they've played basically every match this season? Are we going to rely on an 18 year old who's talented but not quite ready yet? It's just poor management: "let's hope the problems go away by themselves" instead of fixing them.

Why would we do Chelsea a favor ... I'm not babysitting their players because they stockpile players like. We wanted him before he/his agent thought they were better off there, fuck that.

This I can agree on.
