Have to say the place is amazing.
Walked round most of the ground, The Shelf bar, Beavertown brewery, programme walls, Market Place, old centre spot. It’s amazing, but as a smoker I’d love if they’d allow you out after the game for a quick puff and then allow you back in.
Walked up to the top of Park Lane for the last ten minutes (row 81 I think it is). My quads have only just recovered.
I first went to the Lane before the internet was invented, the Wi-fi at new WHL is better than any place I think I’ve ever been, let alone a sporting venue.
The concourses are super tight, even with only 30k there. Teething problems with the service at the bars, but that’ll get sorted no doubt.
Can’t wait to go back next weekend. But Palace game will be epic.
Is there a stadium plan anywhere that shows where all those places are?
There were definitely two smoking areas on the original plans, but the stadium guide says it’s entirely non smoking. I’ll ask some friends who work there or have access to areas not reserved for the public to see if there’s s secret place to smoke. On the plans there was a smoking area in the west stand. Might be corporate.
Whatever THFC company owns the stadium is leasing the individual food and drink outlets to their operators: Beavertown, etc.
Beavertown will keep the receipts from selling beer and then pay whatever rent is in their agreement.
The suggestion was that THFC/Levy would be making a pile because the food and drink concessions did so well today. I don’t think it affects the rent they pay to the club. Not in the short term anyway. Not until the first rent review!
I would be surprised if the Club have not structured the leases in such a manner that the Club is rewarded by high sales volume. Many commercial retail leases incorporate a percentage of sales/revenue in the lease.
It helps the vendor - as it lowers the base rent, and when the rent increases, it is covered by increases in revenue. It reduces the risk on the vendors, while still providing the upside to the club.
Interesting question. I would think there were intense discussions between the club and the concessionaires. Volume and affordability vs. profitability and prestige.
Not really my area of knowledge. I can go on confidently about the leases, but I know less than fuck all about marketing.
Yeah I understand with Beavertown. But 'Naan & Noodle', 'Smashed Olive', 'N17 Grill' etc. are creations of Tottenham's making, they're not fast food/restaurant chains.Whatever THFC company owns the stadium is leasing the individual food and drink outlets to their operators: Beavertown, etc.

Yeah on the Spurs stadium site they have floor plans. Is there a stadium plan anywhere that shows where all those places are?
But the food Outlets aren’t chains like Nandos or Burger King thry are just themed outlets all run by one caterer which is actually levy catering company. So it’s nothing like hiring the space to a known brand. The only actual brand in the stadium is beavertown. I think the deal would be the catering company have a set contract and the club keep the receipts. There’s a reason Levy has tried to keep people in the stadium longer and it’s not to make the catering company rich.
But these aren’t concessionaires non of the branded food outlets exist outside the stadium it’s all one caterer.

think we capped the event at 30k, but im sure we only needed 25k.
It will be the same fore the legends match. We will sell more than we need, incase some cant/don't turn up.
Not sure if this has been shared alread....apparently one hour after the match finished!!
