I really do think the atmosphere will play a huge part. So everyone who is going needs to shout until their lungs hurt.

That's what lifts players. They'll be up for it if course, but the atmosphere can squeeze an extra 10% out of players, playing to their limits.

That's what we need tomorrow night.

Biggest game in over 50 years, with the world watching. Its our chance, and that Includes the crowd.

Sissoko being back is as good as we could have hoped for in terms of injuries. Eriksen, Alli and Moura should be able to provide goals and Wanyama/Sissoko gives defensive cover and some strength in transition.

Even though we are down to the bare bones I still think we can get a good result.

Think we will need to bypass the midfield more and hopefully Llorente has a stormer.

Is this just blind hope? Other than Huddersfield at home and Tranmere in the cup, I struggle to recall a good performance from him, much less a stormer.

worried about our bench 2mo, will be full of defenders no doubt, so hopefully our starting 11 get the job done

Sure is. Sissoko playing gives us a punchers chance. Him not playing for me is one blow too many what with Kane and Son missing.

Please say sissoko is fit. We really need him in the engine room so dele, eriksen and lucas can do their stuff further up the pitch.

At least Ajax should play on open game of football, rather than just try and frustrate.

We have to be clinical though which is not one of our strong points this season. Such a bitch that both Kane and Son are unavailable.

Eriksen, dele and Moura playing off the big fella. Rose and Trips floating balls in for him. I can feel it in my water....or is that a u.t.i?

People are making very simplistic comments about Llorente like "he was poor". What does that actually mean?

One person correctly observed that he has been very effective against opponents like Tranmere and Huddersfield, but then drew no conclusions from that. So I will, because other than that, no one has volunteered anything except unsupported statements of "opinion".

Llorente is a vastly experienced centre-forward who has played multiple times at the highest level for country and club, in the highest-pressure matches you can imagine. He knows what there is to know about playing as the classic big no. 9 and, when he plays against slow, inexperienced or disorganised defences such as Tranmere and Huddersfield, he finds space to work and he both scores and makes goals, because he has the knowledge and because they allow him space to play.

Put him up against a quick, disciplined, top-class defence, even against Man City before his Wonder Moment, and his slowing body no longer has the sharpness to find space and execute. He can hold the ball up effectively and he's an absolute nuisance at set pieces, as we saw against Man City. Other than that, he's unlikely to deliver very much end product from open play, unless the defence gets sloppy and gives him some space.

Ajax are quick and young and talented. Unless they are also naive, which I doubt, I don't think there's going to be a lot of space in the penalty box.

Although. For tomorrow and with our current form/fitness, a 1-0 defensive classic would be an absolutely perfect result.
Clean sheet would be huge.
Get those defenders ready!!!!

I think this is it. If Llorente plays we have to get decent balls in from the fullbacks. Give him a chance to head or hip and let Dele play off the knock downs.
