Can't wait for the game!

Think given the circumstances, Poch will be setting up for a clean sheet first and foremost....

Away goals are everything in this competition. Keeping a clean sheet v Dortmund and City in the home leg and scoring away (City especially) is what proved the difference. Clean sheet is vital tonight, Son back next week means we always have a chance to score over there.

Madrid had no game plan and got rolled over by them.
Juventus tried to play tentatively and thought they could just pick Ajax off.

If we turn up with a solid game plan and get at them whilst not underestimating them, then we have a great chance.

Seems like some fans think it will be easier to keep a clean sheet than to score tonight. I don't think this is true, I think we absolutely are able to score on them. Defending worries me. We should primarily hope for a win, secondarily hope for a clean sheet.

I believe we are capable of scoring no doubt. Moura has the ability, Eriksen on his day can pick one out and Alli too.

I just think in the 1st leg which is the home leg keeping a clean sheet can be what makes the difference overall. We showed at City we can score away without Kane, one goal over there and they need at least two. Keeping them out tonight may ultimately be what puts us in the final.

The away goals vs. City wouldn't have meant anything if we hadn't actually a win in the first place. We have to firstly aim to win.

They can press very aggressively so please Hugo, no pissing about 2 yards from our goal line. Outfield players need to work hard to find spaces where he can clear the ball to.

I've only seen them properly once, are they the actually THAT good or is a bit deal being made of 2 performances?

What surprises me is that, despite all their record breaking stats, Ajax are still only joint top of the Dutch league.
It's actually not too dissimilar to the PL, with two teams miles away at the top while the next 4/5 battle for European spots.

Main difference for me (watched them in a few of this years CL games) is how they've progressed since the Europa League final loss last year where to be honest, they were good enough but barely showed up in that final against United. Possible inexperience and nerves at the time?

This year, they look like a better team in general. Some of their younger heads are a year older and their improvement is also showing. So for me, the telling difference so far in this cup run has been in their mentality and maturity.

0-0 and us scoring first over there means the same as 1-0 alone tonight. They would need two. If we concede tonight it gives us a harder task next week.

I believe we can win tonight, I believe we can win next week. I just personally feel the away goal for either side could be the difference. Just my opinion.

Ajax have every reason to be confident and we have every reason to be nervous. I'm hoping that isn't echoed among the players. Best 11 vs best 11 I think we beat them but given that we'll have a makeshift line-up and makeshift tactics to go with it it's quite hard to know how we'll get on, especially given how tired we looked against West Ham and how they've had a nice couple of weeks to rest up and prepare.

Overall I'd be over the moon with a 1-0 but would be happy with a 0-0 as well to be honest. I'm hoping it's a nice surprise and we smash them but the longer the day goes on the less confident I'm getting. Over two legs we should beat them but silly mistakes leading to goals tonight could give us a lot to do in the second leg.

All of their good results Bayern real juventus came away from home when really they had nothing to lose and could be cavalier. I’m hoping it’s a similar scenario to what we are now seeing with Fulham. With no real pressure teams can throw caution to the wind. Tonight will be very different. Pochettino will know exactly what to expect. I might be wrong but I’ve a feeling they are being overrated. A decent side yes but one we should be able to handle with our greater experience.

In CL, they've defeated Dynamo Kiev, Benfica, Real Madrid and Juventus, and drawn twice vs. Bayern Munich. Make of that what you want.

I dont think they have got any results that we wouldnt have

We had a harder group, harder last 16 (in reality), much harder qf. Our league is infinitely stronger, we really should have wiped the floor with PSV in the two games but took them a little lightly.

I'm probably being naive but I just think there shouldnt be as much fear as there is in here

They arent City, they arent Liverpool, they arent Barca
