Played our strongest side, fucked up and have now done a pretty good job of fucking the Ajax and Everton games

I wanted us to go weak and rest up for those 2 games but Poch has never been able to lose a Battle which ultimately wins the War

But this team keeps proving us wrong so hopefully they can do the same next week!

Our biggest problem is ..

Always going 1-0 in games of late and not being clinical in front of goal, Lucas, son and dele are all culprits more terrible finishing . Man city and Barca are roll the ball across the box constantly with unselfish play , make the finishing easy where’s we don’t do that. Thankfully when Kane’s there he’s a lot more ruthless

The argument about selling Dembele and not replacing needs to rest ffs.

He's sometimes so slow in possession we just conveniently forgot and think he could be our messiah to all these shit results.

This game is an isolated incident and it was funnily enough a decent performance, but it should have never got to this point.

Throughout the whole campaign, we have not been good enough.

I still don't believe the mentality is poor, the lads are trying. This is mostly because we do not have a squad beyond the first XI that is capable of competing. You can't deny that the lack of ambition in the transfer window(s) has fucked us. It's abundantly clear we've got too many players out there who are not good enough that we've failed to move on and replace. Levy has got away with it for a few years now. He almost did this season, but it's catching up with us now.

Top 4 is gone. Our only minuscule hope is to beat Ajax and get all of our players back for the final.
Completely agree and have been thinking the exact same thing. This match was an utterly bizarre one-off, the real reason we are in this position is the dropped points against Southampton, Burnley, and West Ham.

I'll never be convinced that we wouldn't have had a better points return over the second half of the season if we'd managed even one half-decent central midfield signing. Whether the fault lies with Poch or Levy we can't really know, but the point is that our abysmal recruitment directly contributed to the squad being stretched far too thin, and we just haven't had enough in the tank to crawl over the line.

Keep an eye on our number 20. Focus. Lean in against the screen if you have to. Once you've done that, let it run a few seconds and you'll see the blatant penalty on our number 20.

Wind your neck in mate, WTF kind of a reply is this

Bournemouth should've had two penalties, get over yourself.

That Lerna prick was playing every fcking game in the book to piss people off.
Yup, and he won. Dele was doing that for a couple of seasons to our opponents, but I didnt here anyone complaining then. its gamesmanship, and our players should be professional enough and not take the bait, as they had done.

That's it. I need some time away from spurs until Wednesday.

I've supported us since 81 some am used to us being well, spurs! But it still hurts just as much. More actually.

He's not the messiah but he absolutely would've been more useful than nothing at all.

A spell outside the Top 4 might do some of the fanbase good tbh...we've been in it for relatively fuck all time and there's an air of entitlement developing.

The nine men deserve a lot of credit for the work they put in...but sure why be positive about anything, ever?
Kind of hard to be positive at the moment, Paolo. We are losing more than winning. On the other hand I had a great time in the 90's when we were mostly shite. Also, it means we may get rid of all the glory hunters. Difficult one, mate. :joyful:

It's the not replacing component that was decisive. You're absolutely right that Dembele himself probably wouldn't have contributed much (not because he wasn't a brilliant player but because his body couldn't cope with the demands of English football anymore). It's impossible to believe, however, that the club didn't have adequate time to plan for his replacement. Our recruitment setup is just too inept to have managed the succession with any degree of success.

Poch after game: "I'm a little bit disappointed...We were playing so well."

He really needs to start calling out these shit performances.

He's still another body who actually has composure in the midfield.. Sissoko has been good but Winks is crocked, Dier has forgotten how to play football and Wanyama is broken
