Clubs have philosophies, some are just too be money making machines, some are there as someone's play toys.

Tottenham have a philosophy. The club will be self sustained and we will recruit players internally and youth, in addition to 1or 2 players externally.

Liverpool used to have a great philosophy too, a clinical that bought young players through. But the pressure to win has got too big for them and they are shifting more to buy a tier 2 galactico each season.

Chelsea are just a play toy.

Barcelona are a prime example of a philosophy being built in with La Masia but the talent dries up and they are forced to buy and struggle to get players and a manager to stick with the philosophy, but they know la Masia will bounce back and probably already looking for a manager to bring back the Barca way (most likely Xavi)
I think you’re forgetting TAA and Andy Robertson here, both have come through their ranks.
I hate that club more than most, but let’s be realistic here.

Wasn't Robertson signed from Hull??
You are correct, my bad.

Whilst he may not have been from their academy, it appears he only cost pool around 8 mill from Hull, which is recruitment on a par with ours for the likes of Dele etc

Anyway, I’m done saying anything good about that pond scum club

An Everton support lad at work said he hopes they let Moura score 9 this weekend so he is on a confidence high for the final ?

The one comment/post on social media that annoyed me the most in the last couple of days came from an Arsenal fan.

He wasn't just an Arsenal fan, he was somebody I gave gainful and lucrative employment to for about 8/9 years from around 1992 or so. He had been unemployed for years and was living in a box bedroom in his girlfriend's mother's house scratching his arse until I took him on. This enabled him to buy a house, do it up on the cheap by getting all the materials he needed through my trade accounts and connections, get married and live the life which he has now. I watched in envy of the Arsenal/Wenger achievements and celebrations while he gave it large. He stormed out of our drinking club in dusgust when we won the Worthington in 1999 and again in the Carling in 2008... so ungracious and petty.

What got my goat then ?.
.
It was a comment ... 'At least we know one team from London is going to bring home a European Trophy' in the next few weeks'
.The comment and dig sunk in... I didnt reply, I ghosted him, never to be seen again. I hope the muggy fuck gets nothing good again in life.

Petty aint I ?

can we save the spuds love in until the final please......need a win against them whatever happens in 3 weeks...

No
They are the only hope for world peace and like, love or hate them they should be given all the protection required.
However unlikely, given their record against the devil spawn, the alternative will live with us for years.

______________

our players better be on their best behaviour, i don't want any injuries to spurs players

_____________

I think Spurs attention will be elsewhere. I would think a win would be more than possible it's just depends on our misfiring striker's.

The Goals and Spurs fans celebrations were fantastic. I don't speak nor understand Dutch, but i will say this. The guys emotions were real. I feel for him (as much as i was going beserk at 6.50am here after waking up a 4.00am to watch it)
I can imagine if the roles were reversed how we would feel.
It’s essentially as if that Sterling goal had stood and wasn’t reversed for offside by VAR.

Some of Liverpool fans are annoyed because, they thought they will be the media darlings from now till the finals. Now, we have decisively stolen their thunder of having made the final against all odds...they are super pissed.

Except for Chelsea,Arse & WestHam, we will have the entire nation support against Liverpool, thats for sure...

Andy Robertson only joined in 2017 from Hull. What I'm saying about Liverpool is they used to bring those type players through the youth system.
Now Liverpool rely on spending big to improve their team. We genuinely look inside. Look at us, Kane, Winks, Rose (bought at 16), KWP and Skipp through the system. Punts on young hungry players with Dier, Sanchez, Alli.

Their youth system has been pretty much useless cos they kept signing anyone and everyone. TAA is actually Liverpool made. But since Gerard, Carragher, Owen, Fowler and mcmanaman, is been nothing. Their philosophy has changed to buy in players
