Time for let’s make a deal Levy style. There’s a limited market for a player on 600k a week especially if you want it done quickly. Madrid are going to take a hit unless someone stupid comes in with a deal.

Chelsea look the only option. Manure are weighed down by Pogba and Sanchez, Arsenal by Ozil. Man City couldn’t be arsed. Further afield the Italian clubs and Bayern don’t want to break their wage structures.
Chelsea have a transfer ban so I'm not sure are any option at all.

Going to arbitration and probably lifted. This is Roman Abramovich my friend.
That would mean the football authorities can't use transfer bans as a punishment as they have appealed to delay it and failed in which case you have to ask what would the court of arbitration delay it for? There is no valid reason to delay so it would be a ruling against the whole process.

They delay it because of not they could suffer the punishment before being found innocent. I think its highly likely they'll get it suspended and then go mad.

They are not innocent which is why they got the ban, they have not been banned whilst FIFA investigate they have been banned because FIFA has investigated and because of what they found. That's why I say the court of arbitration can't say delay the ban whilst we discuss it they can only say ok we see the evidence but the ban is too severe which rules it out altogether and I don't think they can do that.
I know Chelsea are corrupt and so it relies on the authorities not to be and that's a bit of a faint hope but I have to have some faith in humanity.

I don't like it either but CAS has to be there as it is independent of all footballing bodies (which have histories of corruption themselves). The problem is they take so long to process appeals.

There has been a precedent set with the 3 big spanish clubs in the past. It's a terrible loophole but likely to be an unavoidable one.

My understanding is that those other incidents involved the appeal process, they got slapped with the ban the clubs appealed which delayed the ban long enough for them to fill their boots which rendered the ban ineffective, which was why they appealsed, but Chelsea have already gone through the appeal process during which the authorities maintained the ban and sped up the process to close the loophole so what Chelsea are going the CAS to do is put the case that they shouldn't have closed the loophole because they didn't do it before, I can't see that is a very good argument.
I hope I'm right.

Reports are that chelsea won't appeal as they don't want to delay the ban. They can still sign huigain and kovacic (sp?) as those were loans to permanent. Pulisic is also joining. They also don't want to be in the position of sacking sarri and a new manager not being able to get in players.

Can't be arsed to look up the spelling of any of those names.

What has this got to do with bale anyway?

Pretty sure they don't have an option with Kovacic.

You need to go back a couple of pages, it was suggested that with the wages issue Chelsea were the best option which was a fair point unless the ban isn't rescinded etc etc.
