There's a video of every touch in the recent Betis vs Madrid game earlier in this thread I believe. That certainly gave me the impression of a one footed player but it certainly didn't hinder him. He was fantastic.
Yeah, I can see that. I guess you could look at a highlight package of Messi, and could conclude he's very one-footed... but I'm guessing that doesn't seem to hinder him!!!!

Like everyone else, I think this lad looks to be a dream signing.

Really hope we can get it across the line.

I love that he is a tough bugger, to go along with the silky skills. Typical of an Argentinian I suppose

Lots of positive comments and probably everything we said of Erik many moons ago.

Lets hope ths one is done soon and he is at the final watching his future team mates lift the trophy!

Assuming Eriksen goes, what I love about the links to Lo Celso (and Ndombele too) is that they're versatile midfielders and they fit what I think we should do, which is build the midfield around Winks, who is just as good as both of those two. It would be a young midfield, but it's a great footballing trio, but with enough athleticism and bite off the ball to be solid defensively.

If this is our midfield mix next season (again, assuming Eriksen goes) then I think we've done very well indeed:

Winks/Dier
Ndombele/Sissoko - Lo Celso/Lamela
And then you have three of Kane, Son, Dele, Lucas and a new signing or two making up the forward positions. With a new RB as well, that's got title-challenge potential imo.

I would be a massive fan of this signing, I watch a hell of a lot of La Liga and this guy is the real deal. I wish we'd bought him sooner and for less money but that aside, I think he's genuinely one of the most perfect players in the game for our system and style of play. I think Poch could take his game to the next level and reach Modric-esque improvement.

It looks like this is where we have lost our edge, over the past 18 months.

Hopefully we'll do better this summer.

if only Lo Celso saw this Argentinian connection at Spurs

I think that the 'Argentine connection' could be a huge benefit for us.

Nice to see Kempes at the training ground. One of my all time WC heroes.

Mario Kempes. One of the biggest names in that team- World Cup -78 winners. Striker.
Is he on the staff in some capacity? Or just a guest of Villa and Ardiles? Was wondering why he has a staff jacket.

Anyone watch many Betis matches? He seems like a tremendous prospect (and obviously not a finished product) but based off statistics he's more of a scorer than a creator. Of course this can be due to many factors including the players around him etc. Just curious as to how he could adjust to being more of a distributor than a finisher.

@Ghost Hardware thoughts?
He's a playmaker, ether deep lying or advanced. I was very impressed by his goal return last season, but I wouldn't be getting him thinking he will net a lot. Worth noting that it took a while before he was a regular starter at Betis and he was played in many different positions. He is certainly very creative and I wouldn't worry too much about his assit numbers last year.
