Son was our best player today, with Winks. Easily. Lucas did not offer much when coming on.

We didn't disgrace ourselves. The early goal made things hard. We dominated the game, and both teams struggled in the heat. But we will come back stronger. Why can't we win it next year, like Liverpool?

Alli and Eriksen are like our Ozils. Look good when playing well, but can be passengers when the chips and flicks don't come off. They have more talent than the likes of Henderson and Milner, but their running and closing sets the tone for Liverpool.

Nah I don’t begrudge him a little success. As much as I hate Liverpool fans in general I don’t mind the way they play or the way he coaches. They edged a tight game and I do not see any shame in that.

No disagree. We didn’t create because we were pretty much playing with 10 men.
Tbf we haven’t played a good 90 for time. Whu, afcb, Brighton, were all like tonight’s lacklustre performance.
But for me. Kane did nothing to affect the game.

why wait 3 weeks though. Imo the final should be a week after season ends. Keep match sharpness. It was friendly like out there. No urgency from either side.

The break helped us. Gave us a chance to get players back, freshen up, etc. Had we played like that against Liverpool two weeks ago we might have got hammered. The break closed the gap. It was like a preseason game unfortunately and we were punished for our mistakes.

Yeah, great and all as it was, we still have nothing to show for it though. I just hope they learn from this and have another good run at it next year, with some quality reinforcements.

Here it comes, the oh so expected "How did Moura not start??!" questions. Bore off. Son was our best player today. Kane is our talisman. Our x man. If he's fit, he starts, no questions asked. Origi set the world alight in the semifinal as well. Didn't start. Came on and scored a quality goal. Lucas came on and honestly did not offer much. Had 1 chance in the box but did not connect with the ball whatsoever.
